Hybrid, neither a Vampire nor a Werewolf

It should be possible to become a hybrid at Skyrim... But what meant to be one? It shouldn't be only the two "curses" together, should be something of it's own. So here it is:

HYBRIDS

1) There should be a way of becoming a hybrid. Maybe by been at the early stage of vampirism at the moment of the initiation ritual, so somehow the "curses" would mix up together.

2) Hybrids would not became a werewolf at the Beastform, but more like a monstrous bat, that could even fly upon Skyrim.

3) They should have the Mana Bar replaced by the "Blood Bar". (Notice that it is diferent then the vampires, that have their Stamina Bar replaced by the Blood Bar)

4) The "Beast Sense" and the "Vampire Vision" should be replaced for "Hybrid Sense" that would be mainly just like the new Vampire Vision (described at Vampire and Werewolves New Power post), but it should last longer or be toggleable.

5) Hybrids should not have werewolf nor vampire weaknesses.

6) They should not have levels of vampirism.

7) Hybrids should not be palid and their eyes should be scarlet or gold, but aways shine at dark.

8 ) Their Blood Bar regeneration should work like the Mana Bar, but it should cost health to regenerate (let's say 1/3 of the health bar replesh the entire Blood Bar).

9) They should not be able to use Blood Magic like the vampires, but they should be able to use Destrution Magic with the cost of blood (the Blood Bar will work just like the mana bar).

10) They should have all vampire perks (powers), but not the "Vampire Flight". So an hybrid can only fly at the Beastform.

Hello.

These are some great ideas. The mod would be definitely worth downloading. BUT, there is a lot of work on this one. Another BUT, it would be worth waiting for. Here's the picture of what I think the monstrous form could look like ---- Vampire Beast . Hopefully there will be some modders with enough time and a lot of patience to do all the work. If anybody is willing to create the models/textures and stuff like that, then I could help with the construction set, I have some experience with CS (Fallout, Oblivion). And hopefully the creation kit for skyrim wouldn't be too different.

Sorry for my bad english.

I would love this to happen.

If anyone's seen (Movie spoilers ahead) Underworld then someone could take ideas from that. The hybrids in that are pretty cool.

I think if you need to become vampire first, someone should make a minor dungeon where it's easier to become a vampire, because i have found very very few and i'm level 21.

Just as another point, would the beast form use werewolf finishing moves. It could do.

hey there,

I really love the idea, and if you could get a little team together to do it that would be great. But be cautious with this project since it will require someone with quite a lot of scripting skill, and probally some nice modeling and texturing skills if it is to compete with the current models.

I like most of yours, other parts I'm not too crazy about, I still want to be more wolf-like, then bat-like, maybe make it so if you were a vampire first, you become more bat-like, but if you were a werewolf first, you become more wolf like, I don't favor the health cost to replenish the Blood bar, because we don't have regeneration and can't use potions as a wolf, so that would have to change if that is implemented: We should still be able to use all of our abilities from both sides, we are a hybrid, and taking away abilities from either side would just mean we are wholly weaker then pure-bloods, when we should be stronger.

From my own thread on the topic:

As a werepyre, when going into beast form, we will no longer change completely. We go halfway through the transformation and then stop, meaning, we get fur, the wolf head, claws, and feet, we don't grow a tail (unless we all ready have one), and we don't hunch over. We can still run on all fours, but not as fast, and we can do things a fullblown wolf can't, like loot dead bodies, and pick locks (using our claws), we won't have to feed to stay in beast form, we can use spells, shouts, and equip certain items such as rings and amulets, robes, things that would expand with our new form.

Basically:

1. New Werewolf model to be more humanoid in body shape, legs, arms, head, and fur would remain pretty much the same, just less of a hunched over feel to it.

2. Less speed when running on all fours, but still faster then riding a horse or running on two feet

3. Able to loot bodies, containers, etc, and pick up loose items. Able to pick locks using our claws or simply bashing the doors open depending on their type (Metal, wood, jail bars, stone, etc) We'd be able to break wood doors easily, reinforced wood doors would take more strength, stone doors won't be breakable until we get much stonger, jail bars would bend, not break, but would have some weakness, and solid metal doors would be impenetrable.

4. Able to wear Rings, Amulets, and expanding clothes such as Robes

yh Underworld is actually what made me search for this but i think at the start you should start of looking like Micheal and as you level up say lvl 15 you learn to fly and then look like markus corvin with the wings http://images.wikia.com/underworld/images/b/b1/295ekh0.jpg
