bobofudd
If you're downloading mods for FO4 make sure they are from the FO4 section of Nexus. CBBE is a body replacer for the female body ( will contain nudity). It is available for both FO4 and Skyrim. If you are trying to download a mod that requires it, then make sure you download the right version for the game you are playing. Other mods that depend on CBBE will not work correctly without it. jjb54
This is NOT meant to be flame time: Be very careful with Nude & Sex Mods. I cannot tell you how many times, with Skyrim - I would be asked to "HELP! My game keeps CTD'ing." IF they had Nude or Sex mods - it was 99% of the time, the cause / effect of the CTD. I am now getting PM's for FO-4 and some are getting CTD's with Nude and Sex Mods as well. This has been confirmed by the people that I have helped, in that they stated, "Yes, it stopped when I removed those Mods." So just be aware, is all. barrettsfloyd
I believe it is fair to say that CBBE is a tad bit more than just a Nude or sex mod.....while it can have issues (like any mod), I'd say it and Bodyslide are two of the most stable mods out there. I'd have to agree. I've been using both CBBE and Bodyslide from jump without any issues whatsoever. FYI, my system, while it does meet minimum requirements to play the game, just misses on the recommended settings. I still run most everything on high or ultra without issue. I might get 1 or 2 CTD's about every 100 hours playtime. That's not bad for a system who doesn't quite meet the standards for playing at those graphics settings, and says alot about the stability of Fallout 4. This is not to say that some mods don't cause problems for people (they obviously do), especially if their systems are clearly not up the task of playing the game with the type and amount of mods and graphics settings they are playing at. Be mindful of the mods you choose to run with. Do your research on it (them) prior to DL'ing and installing, you'll save yourself alot of hassle and headaches later if you do...and for crying out loud, read the readme (if it comes with one. too many modders are foregoing this step nowadays) and read the comments people have left on the authors DL page to get an idea of what issues they had, if any. Moksha8088
IF they had Nude or Sex mods - it was 99% of the time, the cause / effect of the CTD. Keep in mind that CBBE is a Nexus mod, it is always tops in endorsements, it is safe, it is for aesthetics and is best grouped under the category of Face and Body mods. Perraine
I think the confusion is caused by a mod for Skyrim that was from, i believe, a website that shall not be named (that rhymes with Rubbers Rab) which allowed a certain kind of activity to be performed in the game. That mod was ... problematic ... for many people, and was/is known to cause various crashes and bugs. Due to Caliente's past association to the website that shall not be named, perhaps that is why someone suggested that CBBE is also suspect? I can also confirm that there is nothing inherently dangerous or suspect about CBBE though, it is entirely safe to install (except possibly from your other half, wondering why your character is galloping about naked and/or in skimpy outfits) I suppose on a truly low end system the higher vertex count of the "new" body meshes and the waaayyy better quality skin textures "may" cause performance issues with the game, but that would be about it. Raycheetah
Gopher is a well-respected mod author and modding expert, whose YouTube channel contains MANY useful "how-to" vids for modding popular games. This is his vid on CBBE and bodyslide, how to install it properly, and how it works: Hope that helps! =^[.]^=
