As expected, Steam is having a sale until the 28th of this month

Vegas DLC's are around 1/2 off

other games may be of interest to you - so fire up steam and take a look.

(Sadly Skyrim is too new for a sale)

You'll always end up buying data, steam convinced me when my oblivion disc wore down. DVDs damage more quickly than CDs and with the uprising of more data for games steam's getting my favour more and more. Whoever said we have such speedy connections? Steam deals tend to be cheaper on quite a few games quite early. Around here games on disc are cheap around their release and get more expensive after for about 4-6 months. This is when steam is beneficial to me as the autumn and holiday season deals come around.

I got a copy of Civilization III over here that I used as a drink coaster for 3 years, decided one day I would reinstall and play it and cleaned it off and it loaded just fine. You have to really try hard to damage a CD/DVD beyond usage. I can't say I've ever had a CD/DVD get damaged on me beyond being usable.

If I got that physical copy, steam and nobody else can decide for whatever reason I can't have access to that data anymore. When you purchase a game, it is a life long license to play that game, but according to Steam you have to abide by their terms or you can be denied access to the data you purchased. Having a physical copy, nobody can deny you access to the data you purchased.

Has anyone ever tried to disagree with a EULA, and then call them up and demand your money back? Try that and see how it works for you. My point is you don't have a choice but to agree to their terms, even if you aren't aware of them when you hand the money over to buy the game, so they can put whatever terms in that EULA they want, and you can't even play it if you disagree, and most companies won't give you a full refund if you disagree. Basically you are signing your rights over as a consumer, with no way to legitimately protest.
