Jackal2233
Has anyone encountered this? I was just travelling from winterhold to... well I was planning to head to windhelm to take a carriage to markath but lost my sense of direction (I always play drunk). Anyways I was head to whiterun since I lost my way and it was the closest city available, and then out of the blue, I saw cicero, whining about his wagon! I haven't even started the DB quests for my particular character heh... just found it interesting, and wanted to share, seems like a rather random occurance, and seems to reward me for choosing to never fast travel... much.
raatorotta
Yes, i encountered him near Riften with my first character. Never knew who he was, till i started DB with my third character.
WarKirby3333
yeah there's all sorts of awesome random encounters on the map. One time, playing as a new mage character and still at lv2, i got attacked by a big scary bear that mauled me. And as i'm running awau with 1HP left, Farkas and two of the othr companions turn up and kill it for me o.0. I'm wandering around the valleys of The Reach at this point, very far from whiterun. Jackal2233
Haha aye! These random encounters really bring the game to life! For many folks including myself, it's very tempting to fast travel, but missing on all these encounters... darn! It's too rich to be skipped via fast travel! The improved radiant AI for randomness makes it essential to explore.
saldu
Actually, with my first char, before I even learned anything about dark brotherhood, I found a small farm while exploring. The farmer told me that there was a very strange person on the road who had a broken wheel and can't go on. It even started a sidequest (not one of those small ones, a real sidequest with name!) and I went to the road to find Cicero with his wagon and a broken wheel. After some talking, I persuaded the farmer to help him. Some time later, I checked if the game was so awesome that he actually moved on after completing the quest, but he was still there (after at least 20 ingame days). tl:dr does not seem like a random encounter at all to me. Nope it doesn't seem random at all, I've always found him North of Whiterun with 4 seperate characters.
Matth85
I believe Cicero is always found needing help with his wagon near a certain farm. I was quite suprised when I saw him later, and slightly glad I made the farmer help him. Don't want to piss off the keeper, now do we?
