AndrewW200
Hello everyone. I'm just writing a post here in the hopes that someone might be able to come up with any ideas that might help me actually experience the mods I've downloaded. I started a new game of Fall Out 4 today, fresh with a nice collection of mods from the nexus - this is my first time downloading from the nexus, but once I got everything sorted I discovered that many of my mods simply are not working in game. If anyone can help, has any ideas, etc on how to fix the issues I'd appreciate it! I am using Nexus Mod Manager and LOOT to house and sort my mods. I'm not using F4SE as I can't work out how to manually download it and the Nexus doesn't seem to carry it. List of Mods I have downloaded that I have confirmed work: Unofficial Fallout PatchHigher Settlement BudgetRich Merchants - 2000 capsFunctional Wedding RingsMore Weaves - No Railroad prerequisiteNo more Floating RazorgrainNo More Gaps under junk fencesWorking Food plantersTrue StormsWETGunners Overhaul - Gunners Initially FriendlyFaster Terminal SpeedIncreased Settler Populations -50Lots more - Male Facial Hair / Male Hair styles / Female Hair stylesEhanced Blood TexturesDon't Call me SettlerBuildable Burning Campfires and FireplacesWalther P99 + 1K Skin TextureExtended Weapon Mods List of Mods that DO NOT WORK, and I do not know why...: Mac-11 Standalone weapon - Model is invisibleWearable backpacks and pouches - The crafting station is invisible in the building menu and can't be builtKa Bar Becker BK-9 - Model is invisible, also breaks crafting menu when craftingSatellite Colour World Map Combo - Does not replace map in pip-boyRepairable Sanctuary - Invisible in building menuBrahmin Troughs - Invisible in building menuSettlement Attacks BeyondOrphans of the Commonwealth - Not sure if working or not, haven't seen any orphans about.Better Settlers - Not sure if working or not.Realistic Roads - Can't really tell if its working or not.CBBE - Everyone looks like the vanilla body, also can't tell / lack of experienceAmmo Re-textures - Retextures arent appliedWasteland Creatures Re-done - Re-textures aren't appliedArmour and Weapons Keyword Community Resource Pack - Most items are invisible / uncraftable and some 100% bug the crafting menu preventing you from exiting the crafting menu. All Trees Have Leaves - No change on the treesChem's Re-textures - Can't tell if works.Vivid Fallout Trees - Can't see any difference but could be wrong.Green Commonwealth - No greenEli's Craftable Flower pots - invisible in building menu and can't be crafted.Do It yourshelf - Invisible in building menu and can't be placed or crafted.Craftable Balcony Supports - InvisibleSnap'On - Various building mods - all invisible in building menu and can't be placed or craftedApocalypse Accessories - Invisible, breaks crafting menuTactical Flashlights - InvisibleLowered Weapons Animation - no changes to animationExtended Armoursmith mods - Invisible, breaks crafting menuFaction Field Outfits - Invisible, uncraftable and breaks menu. bill8872
You will also need to check the mod pages for install info. I do use a few you have, and know they work, but some to require other files/mod to work correctly.CBBE for example needs bodyslide to see the changes, but every woman in the game will have the same body that you build in bodyslide. Many of the Armorsmith Extended mods that are added require the mesh's from various mods to work, or you will crash without them.It can also be possible NMM did not install them correctly. NMM has been a joke lately installing mods. F4Se I do use. Just google it, and DL it from the site. There are two I know of. One seems to get the latest version faster than the other. From the mods you have I don't think you really need it, but there are a few mods that do require it.

BodySlide is 100% optional. CBBE comes with three 'default' bodies + all outfits.BodySlide is just if you want a different shape from those three default bodies, or want to use Outfit Studio. Anyway, OP probably just didn't edit/create the Fallout4Custom.ini.

steve40
My guess is that any mod you have that uses ba2 archives is fine, while mods that use loose mesh and texture files don't work because you haven't copied over the respective assets folders. AndrewW200
Thanks for the replies. My only issue is that I have no idea how to tell what is working, but missing files or whatever or what is flat out not working... As far as I'm aware, I have downloaded all of the "required" mods for the mods that aren't working, and still they do not work, or are installed but have invisible models or are invisible in the building menu. The main issue I have though, is that I don't really understand how to clean up or change files, so working with Ba2 and ini files? All that goes right over my head... It could also be I suppose that some of my mods need some of the DLCs that I don't have? I have Automaton and Far Harbour. Any extra help is appreciated! :)
matty3d
first try to get rid of the UFPatch (disable it) for the time being.get all the mods out and start over again with adding the mods one after the other, but firstif you are a "steam victim" (kidding) try to look at steam options i thing and fix/rebuild your game cash...doit.then run Fallout (naked) once.Start with the big settlement mod like Snap and Build, check if the invisibility is still there and so on...For my experience it´s either that the crafting ui/stucture via script is corrupt, or one ore more mods a responsible for that. Of course you did all the "ini" steps already which was provided by Gopher to make your Game modifiable. Edited August 11, 2016 by matty3d

AndrewW200
So, as an update. I finally worked out how to change the custom file in my fallout 4 folder, with the short guide that was given. With that in mind, I plan to remove all my mods and start a fresh game - a shame, but I feel it's probably necessary if it helps me get all my mods working and gives the experience I'm really looking for. I will reply on here again, with any further issues I find. Hopefully all will go well... I'm frustrated that this modding stuff has been so awkward... But I'll give it a try. Will return soon.
