JimmyRJump
Strange, but since I updated the game to the 1.7.9 I can no longer add a radio beacon at Boston Airport settlement, to attract settlers. Also couldn't use the WorkShop straight after "discovering" the place as the WorkShop kept giving me a "you can't use this worksop yet" message. Now you need to wait until the Prydwyn has arrived and you've boarded the latter with Dansie-boy, contrary to before, where I had access to the settlement's WorkShop straight away. Second thing that bothers me is that the patches of farmland (both the three large ones and the 4x4 ones) added by the NX Pro Farming mod are no longer present in any menu. Those patches could be added on top of almost any surface making it possible to grow a lot of crops at Boston Airport. But my main concern is the settler radio beacon which has vanished from the power/misc menu when at Boston Airport. Anyone else encountered this problem? Jebbalon
Yes, I noticed this as well. I figured that the sight was associated with the BoS and not the MM. I could be wrong though, that's just what came to mind when I tried to build beacon.
JimmyRJump
Okay, just hopped over to the FO4 Wikia and its seems the inability to build a radio beacon was there in the first place. Can't remember if that's true as it's been from December last year that I've played a vanilla game. Will have to check mods I recently stopped using to see if there's one among them that somehow allowed me to build a readio beacon there, as that's what I've been doing until I started my latest run-through after the 1.7.9 version of the game... FO4 Wikia also says there's no possibility to build shops/vendor stalls at Boston Airport, but that's also something "new" to me as I've been adding stalls for months in every single new game I started... Another thing mentioned at Wikia is the inability to add defence towers (noticed that also) and yet again I have been able to add those in the past as well... Beats me, as without these essential ingredients, the Boston Airport settlement has no purpose whatsoever, at least, not to me as I like to expand settlements into thriving communities... JimmyRJump
Solution to those PC players that have the same problem as Jebbalon and me: At Boston Airport settlement, go stand in front of the WorkShop and then open the console.Next, click on the WorkShop so that its reference number shows (should be " (000b3506) [EP] ) and enter the following line:addkeyword 00246f85Click 'enter' and close the console. The above is the code to activate/reactivate everything that has been omitted from the settlement's WorkShop menu. In other words, it brings back the ability to add a radio beacon, defense towers, shops, the whole kaboodle  Edited August 12, 2016 by JimmyRJump
bill8872
You must have had a mod that allowed Boston Airport to be a full fledged settlement. I am not using many settlement mods, but I have never been able to to build the radio beacon, and other items have been locked out by the game as well. I am not using many settlement mods, but I have never been able to to build the radio beacon, and other items have been locked out by the game as well.Well, I've got 477 mods sitting in NMM of which 316 are active (252 plug-ins) so, I'll need a day or so to see which mod or mods could have allowed me to build there. But, with the solution I added in my previous reply, I no longer need to check, as right now I'm again able to build whatever I fancy at the Boston Airport settlement. As a matter of fact, my first two settlers have just arrived after adding the radio beacon ;)

So that might make the settlement unhappy.

Prydwyn collapses but just outside the perimeter of the settlement. Settlers dusted off their jackets and went about their business, happiness untouched :)
TheGadget1945
I thought the sole purpose of Boston Airport having a workshop was to enable you to build the molecular relay there?
bill8872
I thought the sole purpose of Boston Airport having a workshop was to enable you to build the molecular relay there? It is, but there is a mod that turns it into a full settlement. Found it based on another thread. Kinda like when you side the the Railroad, there has to be a place to build it for each faction. Airport Workbenchhttp://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4969/?
