Hi folks,

I know it is late that i miss out such a game.

This year i manage to have the time and mid or high rig to play some of the eye candies game.

In the past. I only able to play ut2004 invasion.

So once i lay my hand on new cpu. I started playing some old and new games like re4, re5, mass effect 2, crysis 2, dead space 2, dead rising 2, fear 3, might and magic iv or vi, shogun 2, space marine and more.

There are still some games that i have not completed like Dead Space 1, its funny i beat the second serie from ea and got the first serie from steam. Other games that i do not complete are mass effect 2, dragon age 2, cold fear, dead rising 2, shogun 2, might magic, dow 1.

Personally, i like fps or action rpg more. Combination of fps and rpg is something new i play from dead rising 2, dead island. And currently Skyrim got me hooked and abandon the rest.

I still have ut2004 just that i rarely go back to invasion.

Right now, i just hooked on Skyrim and alittle Killing Floor lol.

So i felt itchy to buy fo3 goty during autumn sale.

I am a fan of sci fi fps since half life 1 or 2. What stop me were the steam forum crash issues from most complaint using win 7 64 bit.

I understand there a fix like editing ini to limit 2 cores and downloading of dll fix and put in fo3 folder. I might be risking it.

If so, might need help in steps and compatible issues with patch and mods.

What i need to download is the unofficial patch and fose?

Does it work with steam fo3 latest patch?

Im getting some mods too to start first playthrough?

Any recommendation?

I need weapons, mutants, main and side quest addon, pretty chicks skins lol and textures.

Right now i have some ideas from top 25 list. Such as N textures which is nearly 2 gb in size and the skinny chicks body replacer which have long readme.

Im confused.

Thanks

Well I dont normally recommend mods on first play through but this is an exception. Buy the game and get Mothership Zeta Crew. As for big community bug fix things I dont recommend.

Search "A note easily missed" and get that mod then follow the portal to the rest of Puce's mods and get those(at least the story ones).

Lol. Dont want be too addicted to mods dl as i had already load up some mods to play. Man its hard now. I didnt configure the mods setting, just playing the default gameplay mod author intend.

I mean fwe + mutants = superb hard.

Had type 3 body and project beauty, eve, weapon mod, nmc texture, enhanced & dynamic weather, streetlight, cherry follower, aev new place...

Is so fun but i have my frustration too.

Which is finding the place that i see on map in pipeboy.

Sometime arrow pointing that place are not exactly as the path is blocked.

I bought it at Steam last night for $19.99, which is half of what Amazon had the DVD version listed at, last time I checked. I don't know if Steam's price is a sale price or not, but, even if it is not, it is worth getting.

well today Amazon has it listed for less than you paid

and a regularly scheduled Steam sale runs 3/4 off

As yiu can figure, it has been a while since I checked at Amazon. On physical media, I would have to purchase 1 per computer. Since I currently have 2 computers, that would double the price. The other FO3 that I have, I purchased at Gamestop PC Downloads, which does not have any of the DLCs. Considering that I paid $20 for FO3 at Gamestop, plus $30 or so for the two DLC DVDs which for some reason don't include Zeta. Then havving to purchase Zeta separately. It is a lot of hassle to get the game installed (5-7 hour download at Gamestop), then installing the DLCs, It is easier to do it all in one at Steam, for much less than what I paid the first time the other way.

Anyways, I keep seeing these complaints about GOTY crashing and that, and I wanted to see what the problem were.......... I don't have any problems! Being a long time LInux user/administrator, I am more than use to changing permissions and attributes where needed for read/write access by my user account without disabling primary security and don't have the problems people say that you WILL have if installed in Program Files (x86).
