My system does not like BA2 files for some reason. Does anyone know how to make my system get along with BA2 files. Theses are my basic system specs.

Windows 10 pro 64 bit

Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 GHz

16.0 GB ram

AMD Saphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro video card

Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard

solid state hard drive

Hi Jimmy

Basically I get the multi color patterns on things. Textures that are in BA2 format get the patchy, rainbow color bug. If I use the BAE tool to extract the files into loose format it goes away. From what I understand its sort of a mystery as to why some systems do that and some don't. Sorry I wasn't more specific before.

Well, I have that also for a couple of items, but only after several hours of non-stop playing. Re-starting the game makes it go away temporarily...

Wasn't aware it had to do with ba2 files; thought it was because my GPU tends to get hotter than usual with summer finally breaking through down here (Belgium). Will check in-game what items exactly get all colourful and see from wich mod they sprout...

So, apologies for not being of much help here...

Yep I get the same issue but I'm pretty sure ts not GPU related.Even happens to vanilla textures so I don't think its entirely mod related. And if I use the BAE (Bethesda Archive Extractor) to change the mod to loose files it goes away for the particular mesh. A couple of mod authors told me that its related to how certain systems handle BA2 files (that's why a lot mods are released in BA2 and loose formats) but its a bit of a mystery as to why.

Thanks for looking in Jimmy :)
