Adrius2
This is a technical issue? I just thought the game lacked cave shadows. In that case I have the same problem. Some lights do cast shadows in caves, but the majority don't. Wrong board btw.
Cougar88889
Hi, I'm sure there should be shadows because I've seen loads of screens with loads of shadows showing on everything. What forum should I have this in? Can I move it?
JimboUK
There should be character shadows, for environmental shadows I think you have to tinker with the ini.
Cougar88889
Any idea which lines to tinker with bud? I've messed with a few from reading other posts etc but can't find which do these shadows
Fatalmasterpiece
I think the problem is that the area is using ambient lighting which does not cast shadows because it has no source. The light is coming from no where so which way do the shadows fall? It's a major design flaw that needs to be fixed by a darker dungeons mod. I've looked through some of my screenshots and there are character shadows but only very close to light sources. I think Fatalmasterpiece has hit the nail on the head, a lot of the lighting is ambient and thus does not have a source.
Cougar88889
@Jim_uk I have those set as 1 already :( @Fatalmasterpiece I thought ambient lighting was part of the ambient occlusion setting in nvidia Inspector? althought i'm not sure thats working for me either
JimboUK
Ambient lighting is light that's just there, it doesn't have a source. Bethesda have really overused it with Skyrim, it really could be halved or even more.
Cougar88889
Ah cool, any chance someone will create a mod to utilise it?
