Shaikoten
One of the biggest problems facing people downloading mods currently is a lack of a one-stop pack. Even all of Xenius' releases, which all do very similar things to one another, are broken into a bunch of tiny downloads. I'm sure most people downloading stuff, myself included, would prefer if these projects were condensed into a single download and install. For the past few days I've been contacting texture artists who have been working to increase the resolution of textures while still maintaining the intended art direction of the game with a proposition to combine all of their work and push forward as a singular team, with the goal of retexturing the entire game. The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. NebuLa1, Ghogiel, and Isoku have expressed interest so far, and I am sure when this becomes more widely known the project will grow even further. The goal of this project is simple: get the best artists of the community together to work as a team to create the most crisp, high quality textures possible, while respecting the original art direction of the game. I'll be taking on the mantel of organizing the workflow and the textures people are working on, and making sure people's work isn't overlapping. Team membership is informal: just post in this thread, let people know what you're working on, and be sure to communicate and post all of your WIPs. You only have to contribute as much as you want to, and you don't have to feel like this is a full-time job. If you already have a mod you'd like included in this project, just post here or PM me. All artists will be given credit for their work. Keep in mind we won't be accepting work that deviates from the main art style of the game. That is, no armor recolors, only higher resolution textures. We're PC gamers, we deserve better. So let's make it better. As things unfold, you can get updates from me at @Shaikoten on Twitter, or subscribe to this thread. Happy Skyrimming! runicNomad
very cool project here... the textures are getting out of hand and much like morrowind and oblivion if I dont check every day I miss files and then trying to keep tabs on my tracked files is getting huge too. thanks for this. If I can help in anyway to organize let me know
Jackal2233
Yeah personally I dont want to have to download individual mods one at a time when I can get a pack all at once for the HD graphics. I'm more of a coder myself though, but I wish you luck
Shaikoten
Good to have you on board, Ghogiel. I'm currently working on a spreadsheet of what we have versus what needs to be done. Huge list with a game this big obviously. I'll put it up as a google doc for everyone to look at once it's finished, broken up into folders like the contents of the .bsa is. Jackal2233
Great... now you're going to have me following you around going "by Azura by Azura by Azura" until you release this texture pack. How the hell you did this btw? Edited November 26, 2011 by Jackal2233

Beriallord
It would be nice to have a single texture pack that just makes the entire game look better. I'm not sure if shadows are in the realm of expertise of texture artists, but those need some TLC in this game.
