Werne
Heh, I 've got the Dragonstone and I killed a dragon. That's how far I've got in the main quest, and I'll probably stay there forever.
Bloodinfested
I never counted it but well over 40 because as I walked to point A to B doing parts of the main quest I always found something else to do so many small quests you can pick up and people to meet. InuyashaFE
I'd say 30-40, since my Dovahkiin kept getting roped into quests left and right as he traveled across the province. xD Markarth was especially bad, not only did he wake up in Markarth after a drinking game, he got pulled into a scheme to uncover a conspiracy in the city. darthsloth74
Probably about 60 hours because I went off exploring for ages. Plus I started a new game with another character because I wanted to do the Dark Brotherhood questline and my character that I was using in the main quest had loads of fighter perks. HoovesDerpy
I first finished the game in about 20 hours while running my righteous warrior character. Now I'm playing through again and I've just gotten to meeting up with the blades. I've been playing this character for 70+ hours, doing side quests and having a good time filling my pockets and kicking ass. I'm having loads more fun now. SHO3LACE
3 Hours I'm afraid. I wonder where on earth Bethesda gets the info "30 hours" to complete the main quest. Did they get a bunch of monkeys to sit with the game and average how long it took them to finish. The only way it could take 30 hours if you didnt know there was a toggle run button, sprint button and had no clue what fast travel was. Dont get me wrong, I love it still and have clocked 79 hours of gameplay so far and will keep playing but I've finished every guild/faction, main quest, and the vast majority of quests as far as I can tell (95% of quests ish in the entire game) and it only took around 40 hours, not the 200-300 hours promised before. (and yes I know there is an infinite number of quests that can be generated by the game but who is counting them). MonsterMonkey
Finish the main quest is not finish the game. It ain't no need to run in TES, it's the kind of game i play for years. I like to travel explore makin good or bad encounters, in fact i had explored mostly all the map before startin something serious. I take my time and when other good games will come out ( Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite...) i will quit Skyrim for a while but sure be back after.
