thelawfull
Do you just hook in the camera usb to the controller and it works or do you need something else?.
RattleAndGrind
I was gifted a DualShock 3 and used it for a while. There are a couple of so-so drivers and emulators, but they only allow you to map keyboard keys to PS3 buttons, do not support wireless use and are somewhat tempermental. There are also a bunch of 'how too' videos. Try this link. Just know that using a Sony gaming device on a Microsoft operating system is going to be a challenge at best. I don't want to sound like I am a MS Fan, but I eventually bit the bullet and bought a XB1 controller and the wireless adapter. It works perfectly, and is directly supported (no emulator required) in Windoze 10 and works with most Bethesda Softworks (all since Morrowind) games and other PC games which were released on both XB / XB360 / XB1 and PC. I hope this helps.
thelawfull
So a ps3 wireless controller wouldnt work for something like joytokey or xpadder?. It should be as easy as plugging the camera usb cable into the controller and the laptop. Getting a ps3 soon and trying to cut costs.
RattleAndGrind
Some claim that it can be done. I followed the directions to the letter and none of the drivers ever worked for me as anything more that a keyboard substitute. But I provided a link above. Check it for yourself. Fortune Cookie PS. Cutting costs is not always the best route to success.
soupdragon1234
So a ps3 wireless controller wouldnt work for something like joytokey or xpadder?. No need for those it works fine as it is you just need the correct drivers either MotionInJoy + Better DS3 or SCP. if you want wireless you need Bluetooth 2.0 or better with EDT. I picked up a cheap dongle from eBay works fine with my desktop, laptop has BT as standard so didn't need anything extra for that. It should be as easy as plugging the camera usb cable into the controller and the laptop. Getting a ps3 soon and trying to cut costs. Unfortunately Sony don't provide drivers for Windows so it has to be third party.
