Goglabesh
Hi all, So I am having a problem with the pip-boy UI in that I can't see what is going on, but everything is still clickable Not sure why this is happening, I was playing just last night and everything was fine, then today it isn't. The only things that have changed are I upgraded my graphics drivers (everything else in the game is fine so 99% sure this isn't the problem), Fallout 4 decided to update my graphics settings since it thought I was booting for the first time (again ruled out), and I decided to try and mess with my FOV (which after I booted and saw my pip-boy was messed I reloaded to my old Fallout4,ini file and ever tried to remake the file all together). I have tried disabling mods, enabling, brightening up the pip-boy screen, loading old saves where it worked fine, validating the cache through steam and doing a simple reboot of my computer but I have absolutely no idea what could have caused this. Power armor inventory is fine, and all other dialogue boxes or vendor options are fine as well. That is my full list of installed mods which are all up to date and in the proper load order. EDIT: Messing around with suggestions from a friend and while I am invisible with the Chameleon / a stealth boy the pip-boy works fine, so the only way I can't see my inventory is when I am out of a power armor or not in stealth... So as I would (and have been) for the majority of the game. (It's snowing sorry)This is while I was moving and with a stealth field on so not bad overall. I can still click on items in the pip-boy like this as well Edited August 16, 2016 by Goglabesh
Gamoholik
same here.. Thats because of the lates Nvidia update, a quick google search i found that you need to "change the ambient Occlusion to HBAO+" posted by ThriJ on steamcommunitydon't run the game thru NMM run from the exe so you can change the settings before you lunch the game:Lunch Fo4 exe - go to option - advanced - and change the Ambient Occlusion to HBAO+ (ultra) in my case. good luck. Goglabesh
Thanks worked like a charm! Funny thing was that I turned ambient occlusion off during my attempts at a fix...

foxblood702
OMG thanks! I had an update yesterday and it reset most of my graphics settings. I was about to start chopping one of my 100+ mods at a time to find the problem.
cossayos
Funnily enough, the nvidia update didn't do it for me. But when windows last updated, I had the black screen. Same solution though.
