Zippownz
Hello, first of all , i dont really know if this goes in here but im fairly new in the forums, so sorry if its in the wrong place.Well to my topic, i played skyrim back in the day when it came out but on console because at that time i didnt have a powerful enough pc for gaming.I now have this setup:I5-4690K @ 3.5Ghz OCed to 4.5Ghz8 Gb DDR3 Ram @ 2133MhzZotac GTX 970 3.5ish and i would like to replay skyrim and actually finish it (couldnt get through the game with the console version, because my eyes would start bleeding).Thing is, the game is old and there are tons of mods for it and as someone modding skyrim for the first time its kinda hard to choose, so if someone is kind enough to write down a list of "essentials" i would be very thankful.Im aiming at realism and lore-friendliness so for instance, armors, graphics etc. but also combat animations ("realistic ones") and things that make skyrim feel more realistic.Well, if someone could help me out i would be , as i said, very thankful.Zippownz
DoctorKaizeld
okay i hadnt planned to post here because i am not good at picking realism mods but since no one has and it has been ~31 minutes since the thread was made i feel guilty for not doing so. check out the Dawn of series, start here:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58275/? this guy does good work for the cities, i wouldnt say realism but visual for these. while they arent unrealistic they do fit with the lore and fit with the visuals of the game. also they overhaul large parts of the game so you're less likely to find jarring graphic differences. then go down to the bottom of the description page (you should already have read it all before you begin modding anyways) and look at the recommended mods. also check out Racemenu:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58275/? this gives you a ton of sliders. like all the sliders you could want and then some to the 'oh gawd to many sliders' point depending on your mods list. it is great though and gives you an amazing level of character creation that puts Bethesdas many character creation tools to shame. also these:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3863/?http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4929/?http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19733/?http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/? for ENBs... that really is hard as it is all about preference. i suggest just looking them up yourself and finding what works for you (to make it easier only look at the first page on the nexus for ENBs):http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/searchresults/?src_cat=97 hope that helps... oh and READ EVERY DESCRIPTION PAGE IN THEIR ENTIRETY! Thank you for your kind words regarding my mod. I believe this new mod I am working on will be even better. We have a great team and hope to be able to realease it by Christmas. The name of the mod will be The Hunt for Daoris(DLC sized mod story driven). Also thank you for adding links to my suggestions. ElioraArin
My fav immersion mods to make the game more realistic are "Frostfall", "iNeed", "Bathing in Skyrim" & "Immersive Horses". And this one that allows you to carry a bed roll to sleep wherever you deem appropriate "Craftable & Havoc-enabled Bedrolls".
Jusey1
There's a mod which is hidden now on the Nexus but you can still get it via the Steam Workshop. It's the Bard mod for well more immersion with joining the Bard's College, allowing you actually play musical instruments and that sort of stuff. I've also done a minor little mod which I consider as an Realistic mod cause well it makes the Bound Arrows explode-able. I feel like having the land being littered by bound arrows that never really get cleaned up is kinda annoying and also unrealistic as bound equipment usually goes away and why would bound arrows stay forever, ya know?Other than that, other people has beaten me to mentioning a lot of other good mods. So, don't have much else to add in. However, if you want lore friendly mods which adds in more to the game. I do have a few suggestions.
