Sunnie
Has anyone figured out how to remove the clipping bug in the default walls of the proudspire manor (ground floor, behind one of the mannequins) using console yet? Did a search for 'clipping' but didn't find anything. Sorry if this has been addressed before, but any pointers to the right information is much appreciated! Ya, I fixed it..-click on that wall section-placeatme another of the same wall on top of it-disable the original wall (because the original walls cant be moved)-close and reopen the console so the new wall piece appears-click on new wall piece and move it 1 more in the -y direction-done
SkjoldBjorn
@n2nw: Yes, i know of one who got em working, but it is a painful path to walk, since CK is supposed to be right around the corner i would suggest waiting, i was trying to get this working in my "Drelas Cottage" mod, but i figured i could wait for the CK. Hopefully it will be easier then. Edited January 7, 2012 by Sk8on

SkjoldBjorn
I think Skyedit can be used for static items now as well, you can't edit most of them, but you don't need that if you are just going to use it as a search engine, im not sure about it though, but the author have done a lot of progress since the first release.FNVedit is the one i use to search for refrence id and form id's, works like a charm, but requires a lot of RAM and got a very slow start when it's searching through all the content of skyrim, there is a guide somewhere that shows you hot to make it search quicker, but i can't remember where atm.But belive me, searching for what you want gets a lot easier with fnvedit as it's finds any item through form id or reference id, it only got problems with loading some of the records like defaultclothing etc, but all static items can be searched mostly without errors. Sunnie
I find TESSnip a lot better, especially over NVedit since NVedit will bark 3 million errors at you while it tries to process record types it doesn't handle. I prefer TESSnips search functionality also, and it is much faster in finding any records.Just for the sake of info, there is a stand alone version of TESVSnip floating around the internet, which does not require FOMM or NV to be installed. SkjoldBjorn
Yeah, but you can get around those if you remove records you don't need, ironicly you have to use tessnip for that :P Just make sure you don't use the original skyrim.esm when you remove records, make a copy ofc! jmlport98
Meh, I'll just wait until the CS set comes out so I can move and replace everything without crashing. Edited January 7, 2012 by jmlport98
