[LE] Renovate your House with console

Hi, I'm a noob in Skyrim, but I was fascinated with the possibility of modifying the houses.

I especially like Breezehome, mostly because of its location. The other towns are kinda bleak or don't have enough merchants close by.

Using information from this thread I already managed to add an enchanting table. Very cool!

I'd like to ask, is there a way to add more interactive bookcases (the kind that automatically places the books on the shelves) via console commands?

I'm an avid reader, and I'd like to have all the books I collect in the game in a library, so I can read them at my leisure without having to load them in my inventory.

If I remember rightly some of the earlier posts in the thread had details on how to add bookcase's and the pros and cons of working with the activators.

If the Nine Divines are with us we will be able to do that much easyer in a few days (hopfuly be the eand of the month)

Skyler - do this:

  1. Get TESVSnip from Skyrim Nexus.
  2. Use it to open the Skyrim.esm file in your Skyrim Data folder. When prompted, don't apply filters.
  3. Hit Ctrl-F and search for the ID you clicked on. Make sure you set the search to Form ID and that "Wrap around" is ticked.
  4. Look in the right hand panel for the NAME (Basic Object) record.
  5. The Form ID in that record is the one to enter in the console.

Question (sorry if this was covered somewhere in the past in this very large thread)...

I have a weapons rack in the Windhelm house that, when I removed the currently-placed weapon, no longer displays the "Hit "E" to activate" prompt, regardless of whether or not I have a weapon equipped. Now that plaque cannot be used. Sadness!

1. Can I either REACTIVATE it with a console command, or perhaps REPLACE it with a new, active weapons display plaque?

2. Can I place additional plaques (or the larger, floor-mounted weapons stands) on open walls? I can see a few places where it looks like they'd fit.

Thanks in advance!

Weapon racks and plaques have linked components and it is nearly impossible to place them properly and it is impossible to link them with the console.

Anyone know if there is a console command to reset the interiors of the player homes? Have tried resetinterior but it requires a cellname which I do not have. Would like to reset Breezehome and Honeyside back to default.

Thank you so much Sk8on. I knew I'd seen it somewhere, but sifting through all the posts here and on the bethesda forums...after several hours I gave up.
