necKros
You have to change the name of each node using the txt in Block Details (the lower half of the program). If you don't change the strings you're gonna get a ctd due to duplicated node names.

Okay.. that elightens me slightly, now whats confusing me is , at step 4 he wrote i have to copy and paste the stuff, but that would end in duplicated node names , right? so i tried some random stuff, proved me that wasnt the solution. I know im doing some really simple stupid mistake, im just too stupid to grasp it -.- Edited November 29, 2011 by acran2004
Ghogiel
what confuses me a bit is that the number after the blockname changes itself after renaming. What exactly is that number? It's the number the block is in the list, 0 is the scene root, then everything branches down from that in a hierarchy. Just ignore the number. the only way to change it is to reorder the blocks in the block list, which you can do by ctrl and arrow keys, but you virtually never have to do it unless you are trying to order them so some blocks draw first, zbuffer stuff to do with alpha transparency. horberg
So is there any possibility that you could use this and play as a dragon then?

darthsloth74
This is an incredible find. It opens up so much potential finally we'll be able to do spells that turn you into a Lich and have NPC's that look like proper skeletons. I'm assuming you'd incorporate the set race command as part of a script so NPC's are assigned a specific race. I'm not a script writer so pleae excuse me for my only basis understanding. A polymorph to Dragon spell would be useful. Especially for getting around Skyrim much faster than by horse.
Morodiilunahzaal
Okay so this is how i tried it, I opened Nifskope twice for the two windows, opened the skeleton.nif in the directory C:\......meshes\actors\character\character assets (assuming its the player character skeleton) opened the skeleton.nif in the directory C:\.......meshes\actors\dragonpriest\character assets First Window (character skeleton) i right clicked the 259 NiNode Camera3rd, Block -> Copy BranchWent to the 2nd Window (dragon priest skeleton) and right clicked the 0BSFadeNode -> Block -> Paste Branch which looked like this Left Nifskope Window - Player character skeleton, Right window - Dragon piest skeleton. http://666kb.com/i/bz333g25vxcuoaa9y.jpg then i tried to rightclick ->block -> copy the entries from 260 to 263 and "paste over" at each entry from 163 to 166 260 -> 163, 261 -> 164 and so on. Which had shown no effect. Thats where i am sitting now, confused. The 5 step guide says here: 4. Go down to the new Skeleton.nif node and the 4 sub nodes that were just created under it and copy and paste over the text entries of each of them that are on your character’s skeleton.nif file. copy paste doesnt do a thing as i said and i dont really know what to do now. jackalhead
Hey Acran. If you need hands on help like I needed when I was first learning this, I'll walk you through it on Windows Live Messenger. Just add me. Jackalhead at live dot com. Trust me, I have the hardest time knowing exactly what people mean, so I can make it as simple as possible.
