AlphaWoIF Posted April 15, 2012 Share Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) Belive it or not ive onlt just started to use skin wrap and i gotta say i love it when it works that is!but i keep having this strange problem either when i move a limb or run it through an animation cycle to check the rigging. The problem is i seem to be getting an issue where the mesh will rapidly compress and expand when in motion, most of this issue seems to be focused to the left upperarm & elbow areabut it can also affect other areas like the leg in the pic has been completely fattened like . what could be causing this issue as its hard to sort out after .http://i42.tinypic.com/123sdw1.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/1j7yf5.pnghow would i solve this issue from the same mesh on export , is there a way to select them all quickly without hunting form them Edited April 15, 2012 by AlphaWoIF Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AlphaWoIF Posted April 15, 2012 Share Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) Hi I was trying to create a new creatre but I am having some problems I hope someone can help me figure it out ...I took a model and reskinned over the troll skeleton , I duplicated all the troll's CK stuff and when I had to put the model in the place of the old troll nif the CK gets stuck in a forever circle loading and with a Stung! sound ... I have to quit the CK couse looks frozen ... what can be the cause of this problem ? the model is using the same skeleton and rig , but is split into more pieces than the actual model , but what can be the problem? The creature is composed of 10 pieces , but when I try to put in the window in CK it says there is a problem or error BSshader etc ... but actually there is no problem in the Niftools view , the shader is simple and just 2 textures and anyway copied from the original troll one ... http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/7227/trolljy.jpg it sounds like a dismemberment or BSshader error, i have created 2 monsters and rigged them both to the troll , i have kept the monsters as similar to the troll as possibleEG selecting the whole mesh in max as one single dismemberment skin & and remember even if you have 3 parts of the model that use the same texture you will still have to create 3 bshaderlighting slots one for each pointing to that texture . ive made this mistake before thinking i could just make all meshes use the same BShader as they all used the same texture and it seemed cleaner than using 3 of the same , but it will not work and will crash game and ck. i hope this points you in the direction of the problem.also re-check your bodypart numbers in ck.its better to create the new monster AA FOR THE NAKED SKIN. and just use that to make your new race with and change everything in the vanilla troll file to use those parts . they set up as new monster Edited April 15, 2012 by AlphaWoIF Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am exporting a cape I have done and is working already fine ingame, I actually just import and reexport .... but the version exporter importer I am using is the latest one found onnexus called 3.7.1 Now the problems I am having are : 1 check the different bone arrangement in the export ... 2 the meshes always come out with num vertices 1 in the data mesh and I have manually to edit it to 4097in order to make it work and then update tangent space ... I just started messing with textureing for Skyrim myself, but from what I learned through tutorials you have the mesh attaching itself to the body, there is a process to use to check for that before finishing with the editing of your poly. These tutorials should help you, NightasyTutorials, he covers that issue in the making of the breastplate. Yeah the Nightasy tuts are brilliant, but Im pretty sure that what he refers to as "problem areas" i.e. the ones in my pics (joints) hasn't been covered yet Im in the same boat as you Alpha.. skin wrap is great, except for the times its not.. cant find much in the way of tuts for bone weighting under arms and skirts etc etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
majinnoone Posted July 28, 2012 Share Posted July 28, 2012 please tell me what am i doing wrong, i tried everything, if they are not black with items misisng, its gone all to gather, nothing i do works, compeltely new to 3d, i can do anything 2d but damn so tired of this, i have many armors and weps i need to make to put in the mod iam making this is just a basic guard armor for my fort. i still have to do the helm gloves boots and thier weps, but its no use if i can get them to appear, they only look good in 3ds max everywhere else they dont work. would be happy to send someone the file if they can fix it and send it back, welcome to use it, i just want to get over this soi can make more and better models.
