Jupiter / Juno

To interested astronomy buffs, NASA's Juno spacecraft will be making its first close flyby of Jupiter this Saturday (8/27). It's the closest planned encounter in the mission, passing somewhere between 2600 and 2800 miles above Jupiter's cloudtops. Should make for some stunning and unprecedented images.

Also, for those who didn't know already, NASA has a utility that displays Juno's current location, and locations of other spacecraft on other missions:

Ah I missed this the other day! :) It should have some great images.

My husband and I enjoy going out and watching the ISS fly over. We really need to invest in a small telescope.
