uruku7
Maybe I'm wrong, but somewhere near Nightgate Inn, I found an NPC named "Old Orc". Like Umbra from Morrowind, He wanted a good death. So I gave him one. He didn't have anything special on him, no sword named Umbra, but I still thought it was cool.
Pushkatu
It's a random event. I met him to. Orcs believe that they should have a honorable death and not grow old and die a natural death. I choosed to fight him only to find myself running and screaming for help a couple of seconds later(low level mage at that time).:whistling:
justwannaddl
Yeah. Starting a fight at swinging range is never a good thing for a mage. I had to shout him down and run a way before collecting myself to give him a proper cremation.
Quirkyblonde
I just hit him until he stopped moving. That worked well for me. ^_^

Lachdonin
If the book 'The Infernal City' is canon, then there is no more Umbra. I can't exactly remember if it was destroyed when the Ministry of Truth crashed into Vivec City and set off Red Mountain, or in the escape from Clavicus Vile's realm, but 'Umbra' was released from the sword and created/became the ruler of Umbriel, a floating city empowered by stolen souls which attacked Tamriel in about 4E-20. Rennn
Presumably the physical blade itself would still exist, even in that scenario.
Lachdonin
And if i remember correctly, it does... Burried under the lava and ash which is covering Vardenfel. Still, we don't know the conclusion of the story, since the second part never came out, and we can't be sure if any of its Canon anyway,
uruku7
I'm pretty sure you could find Umbra(the sword) in Oblivion. Either way, I need to read that book!
bpestilence
You could, and it makes sense, since Oblivion occured before The Infernal City
