bill8872
Have you tried verifying the files through Steam? Which workbench is affected, or is it all of them? That would be the only thing I can think of for the sound, but I don't know why the workbench is acting the way it is with the mods you have. As I do not any that should affect the workbench. hard8
I've done that several times a day each verify takes 30 minutes or longer to do and the game only reacquire's the games exe
bill8872
is it the workbench or workshop?I only see one armor mod, no weapon mods, and a lot of workshop mods. So nothing jumps out as to why its happening. A frease and or crash is due to missing meshes, and or textures.Even thow I have found everything can be fine without them. hard8
it's the red settlement workbench that has the build items, furniture, generators, etc Update I just ran verify integrity of game cache for the game with steam and it's reacquiring 4.2 GB of the game again, so my game became corrupted and the verify is fixing it as we speak http://imgur.com/vKmrC6e
bill8872
that is strange. There is no reason I can think of that can screw up the game like that.I would check each of the mods, but I really do not think they should be the cause of it.Scan for a virus as well. JimmyRJump
The only reason why this could happen is because some of the mods you use add high polygon or much too large thumbnails to the build menu categories... There are of course external reasons (not game-related, I mean) like an Antivitus program that scans certan parts of the game while playing or background programs taking too much CPU use, or simply something wrong with RAM, etc. ... Maybe also have a look at your soundcard drivers. Soundcards not being up to date can do weird things to a game when playing... hard8
In March my PC was in the repair shop and tech guy thought my SDD had failed, but then he gave me good news that my SDD only had a Loose wire and my SDD was fine, but occasionally my G: drive icon which is my SDD it's icon or drive icon goes missing and It takes several PC restarts and sometimes completely shutting down my PC makes my G: drive come back My PC was in the repair shop because it was stuck on the Bios screen or install screen for Windows and for the G drive issue!.. I might have to buy a new SDD drive, the tech guy quoted me nearly $100 CAD for a SDD before install fees and the SDD was only 500mb he quoted , I went to Canada Computers in Orleans a suburb of Ottawa and paid a neighbor $50 CAD to drive me there and back in March!.. JimmyRJump
Orléans... aren't they also bi-lingual English/French there? Anyway, don't know about warranty laws in Canada, but manufacturers like OCZ have five years of warranty on most of their SSD devices... A 500MB SSD is ridiculous. That surely must be 500GB? Over here in Europe (Belgium) we have a 19% tax law on 'luxury' goods... all electronics fall under that, so, wanna swap? :D
