I have not been disarmed by a draugr on my 2nd play-thorugh so far - something must be preventing it, as I saw it a few times on my 1st run. Might be armor or maybe weapon skill, but it is not magic or a shield, as I carry/use neither now.

Their disarm don't work anymore on my character, nor their unrelenting force, I think that started to happen when I was level 30-40, so my guess is that if your high enough level they won't annoy you as much =)

Oh and there's a quest wich have an even more annoying Draugr:

It is the Forbidden Legend quest, basically you need to go through 3 dungeons to get 3 fragments of the The Gauldur Amulet, wich gives a bonus of +30 Magicka, Health and Stamina and is the reward of the quest and also you have to go through a 4th dungeon to reforge the amulet, fun right? NO! In each dungeon of the fragments you have to fight a Draugr boss, each of them have their own names (I forgot but hey I gave the amulet and the quest name so theres that), but theres one in particular wich is SO FREAKING ANNOYING, he makes like 5 copies of himself and it's not that hard to find the real one but they spread in plataforms so you have to climb them to hit the right one, but heres the catch, every one of the 5 copies use Unrelenting Force on you AND the real one too, so you when you are very close to the real one you get pushed back wich is REALLY ANNOYING, they swich up, so the real one is in a different location, it is kinda of that LoZ MM sub-boss, and your character takes a HUGE time to get up so it's even more ANNOYING, and when you kill him and you think it's over you have to fight him and the other 2 bosses in the 4th dungeon to reforge the amulet, great isn't it? But it gets better, this time around the bosses are all spiritual versios of themselves, so the right one looks the same as the copies, AMAZING! But really, wich jokes and annoyance aside, I kinda like that boss, because it's one of the few wich actually feel like bosses, because he have sorta of a puzzle to him and hes not just a generic warrior/mage/archer but with more damage and hp, and he is actually challenging, and I wish dungeons in Skyrim had more of these types of bosses.

I have done that quest but somewhere in the middle it got bugged and i couldnt loot the draugr boss for the amulet no matter what i done so had to stop it...though their disarm works on me nearly always and im lvl 38.

After reading Aluminumfoil's post I think that may be it, I think it depends on weapon skill, because i got to 100 on one-handed at around level 30-40, but im still not sure :ermm:

Hmm its wierd i will have to test it...but then again it would make sense i guess.

Though i dont mind being disarmed, what i dont like is that the shouts themselfs literally find me even though the draugr is facing somewhere else and also the problem of find my weps.

The other side of this is, I have tried the same thing on them and it tells me the he is to powerful to disarm...what's with this? LOL! I just let loose with unrelenting power right back and that at least get's their attention. I tried to freeze them, but it only lasts a few seconds.

Disarm..it never worked for me...its either bugged or i dont know...and yes im getting that message too and not only on the disarm shout...seems thats the way making things "challenging".

You are a dragonborn, killing dragons!...and you get a message like that on some lowly draugr boss, gotta love the immersion too.

I've spent more than a few hours looking for weapons and there is nothing wrong with my eyesight. I'm pretty sure at this point that the weapons have been blown outside of the "playing feild" or "cell". Doesn't seem to be a problemb with staves and larger weapons. It's kind of like when you lower legs disapear into a rock. I'd rather have my much beloved weapons at least show up on the boss after I kill him rather than be lost in digital limbo. It totally ruins the feeling of reward after fighting, and is beyond annoying. Remaking the weapon back in town then takes up even more annoying time, and I feel like I have been screwed by the program. I guess I could refight the instance, but I play without takebacks...I just pretend that the mob has disitergrated my prised weapon which totally sucks. I wonder if anyone has suggested this mob-skill as being to darn buggy to be everything but fun or fair to those who use smaller weapons.

dual dagger does not give you double damage output as they say in the game, one dagger attacks just as fast, unless you using power attacks, duel weilding power attack drains stamina ungodly fast.

the most effective way to deal with disarm shout is by staggering them, ie bash them with a shield, shoot them with arrow (need perk), etc

I play as a Battlemage with the mage stone active. Although I'm new to the series, I have my best weapon on my at all times, but I use the sparks spell and the Frost/Fire breath shout as a back up, when this does happen. It seems logical to me to just switch to a spare weapon, coz my spells can't be disarmed. And at least i can still damage the thing and just give ground until it goes down. In my limited experience, I gotta say that you shouldn't be afraid to give away some ground that you've covered to make it more advantageous to you. Like with the high level Falmer on one of the quest after the theives guild, I cant fight 4 at a time. But leading them up a staircase lets me blast the first few, get their health down and finish them off. This worked when I had to deal with a deathlord and 3 dougr wights. Long fight. But I got through it.

Combatting the issue of actually looking for the weapons, yeah its damn annoying. That's why I'd say buying the candlelight/ magelight spell book is a must. Just like healing hands or something is. even if you dont use magic much.

Just what I've found works for me. Yeah it annoys me the disarming shout. But i guess unless your out of ear-shot it'll work, coz its a sound, maybe like a fear spell, rather than a force shout like Fuss Ro Da. Maybe?
