Hello,

I'm still new to the site and new to using forums in general. I started a few different threads I think they are called in different forums and haven't received any answers but numerous views. I'm wondering why this might be the case. I dont know if it's something I'm doing wrong, if so, please let me know how I can fix it. If not how can I go about getting answers. I did just realize right now that I could possibly do some research searching the web but I often end up having more questions than before.

only one of your posts has no responses. to get more depends on the topic.

for mod/computer/hardware issues you must have:

-load order

-crash logs

-detailed description of the issue

-show you have actually tried to help yourself by explaining your attempts to fix the issue

-dont be disrespectful or uncooperative with someone who is trying to help you, the people who take time out of their day to help others play their games or fix their computers are volunteering their own time. they dont have to help anyone but do it anyways. respect them and they will help you to the best of their abilities

for general:

-dont use irritating to read fonts. to be safe use the default font type.

-dont use a bunch of colored text

-dont insult other members preferences

-dont ask for replies to be sent via PM

-be polite

-understand this is not 4chan

-dont over use caps

-dont sound demanding

-dont be demanding

-follow the site rules

-dont be annoying

these are all helpful tips to get the highest chances of a response from community members.

We should put that in the By-Laws.

I appreciate the answer. I'll try to do a better job in the future. If I do follow the rules and still don't get a response to the answer what are my options then?

odds are someone will answer if you follow what i suggested. though that depends heavily of which forum you're in.

Sometimes there is no answer. Or you phrased your question in a way that was not understood. Then often people ask the exact same question that was has been answered many times and the people that answer are just tired of repeating themselves over and over. A search of the forums may show that same question, possibly phrased differently in several places.

Or, you may have posted in the wrong topic. I see noobs posting a question about a specific game problem in the site feedback often. And many times they don't even tell what game that are asking about. With over 350 games supported, that makes it difficult to answer. Each game has it's own forum, and popular games will have more than one for different purposes such as troubleshooting and just talking about the game will be separate.

@Ovennamedheats; Or you know... no one may know, or have a strong enough opinion on the topic to provide, an answer.

This is an almost 100% voluntary community. No one is under any obligation to respond. Ever.
