Archaeo2020
Before I begin, I'm just going to say that yes, I read the wiki and whatnot. However, I dug a bit into the forums afterwards (a lot of missing models- not even those pink abominations) and found a poster mentioning having to put Textures, Meshes, Sounds, etc. in along with strings. I did that, and now a large chunk of NMM mods I download have pink textures. More than can be written off with a simple "Oh, just a bad modder," especially considering that nobody else is having these issues. Anywhoozles, my question is this- I currently have Strings, Interface, Textures, Music, Sound, Meshes, Programs, Materials, Lodsettings, Vis, Misc, Scripts, and ShadersFX in the Custom pad, and nothing on Prefs. Everything is formatted right, did I misspell something/leave something out that I shouldn't have? These pink models are really throwing me for a loop. Final note- No, I really don't have any idea what I'm doing. I have to ask that any responses be as close to layman's English as I can. Thanks, all! JimmyRJump
The file to adapt is the Fallout4.ini, not the Customs or Prefs .ini The line sResourceDataDirsFinal= should gave nothing at all at the end (just the line as I have copy/pasted it here). Having textures show-up pink means those textures are somhow missing and thus can't be rendered in-game. That pink/purple-ish colour is how missing textures are visualised.
