all backpack mods are invisible on my character

Hey guys... This is driving me CRAZY!! I have tried like all the backpack mods available and its always the same, the backpack/pouch/bandolier/etc is in the game, I can craft it, I can see it in my inventory, I can drop it in the world and it works perfectly (the slots, enchantments,etc) but for some reason they all just wont show up on my character! I've tried them on a lot of different armors (mods and vanilla ones, even naked). I put them on, they become invisible (but when dropped from inventory they appear just fine on the ground). I installed them on the right place and even did that thing on the files to bInvalidateolderFiles=1

Can someone share some light? I've looked everywhere, and on all these years of skyrim mods apparently no one has ever had this problem :(

Depends on the mod you are using. Some have an actual item that does get visibly equipped. Others have an item that opens a container when "equipped" but don't have an actual visibly worn mesh.

 

If you list the mods you have tried, it would be easier to explain what is happening or what may have gone wrong.

I tried like, a lot of them haha

Bandolier - bags and pouches

Sabrecat backpack

Functional bags

Leather backpack

Nordic Ranger backpack

Fur bag

I'm fairly certain all of those have a visibly worn mesh.

 

Things to check:

-- Were the mods properly installed? Were all necessary files in place?

-- The bags have to use a body slot to be visible, if something else is in that slot then either the bag won't be visible or the other item would unequip. If the other item takes up more than one body slot, it might not unequip.

Example: Bag is in slot 60 on the NIF file, armor record and armor addon record. Another item has slot 59 in the NIF file, armor record and armor addon record but for some reason also has slot 60 in the armor record and armor addon record. Because the NIF slot (59) isn't being used by the bag it isn't unequipped. But because the other item also uses slot 60, the bag can't be seen.

 

And naked isn't always naked, I hear SOS uses some non-standard body slots and those could interfere with the various backpacks.

 

Try the backpack mods on an otherwise unmodded game. This would rule out conflict with another mod.

I checked that and it seems it is installed in the right place, and no armor mods use the nif slots... By naked I meant I just unequiped my armor hahaha

Im using some other mods, maybe could be one of them?

Forgot to say, Im also using race menu, and already checked for conflicting mods, but everything is ok :/

Thanks for trying to help.... somehow the mods now work! I have no ideia how but they do :D haha (I've tried so many stuff, maybe one of them did the job)

I'm having this same problem, all backpack mods were working fine and now they are invisible, I reinstalled all backpack mods many times (clean install) it's freaking me out I've been trying to fix it for a while now

 

I have a long list of plugins and some other texture mods but backpacks were working fine with them

I recently uninstalled some plugins ENB and light mods

 

 

EDIT: problem is fixed, I found out that meshes where placed wrong

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I noticed this in the past with backpacks as well, but only when my character was a vampire.

 

I did not see it as a big problem back then because it was just the backpacks, but now it happens with my actual clothing, too - at least, for the clothing items that have the same pale/yellow-ish shield icon in SkyUI as backpacks do.

Perhaps everyone with this same problem, was having this problem on vampire characters?
