runicNomad
Just wondering if the new patch breaks MODs at all and if it fixes things or breaks more things.
stimresp
There seem to be some complaints on ps3/xbox: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1295737-game-no-longer-recognizes-my-magic-resistance-after-patch/
Guss
Haven't seen much from it, like that just a few complaints and thats about it. just getting released for PC also. maybe with a few more hours you should see more if their is a problem
stimresp
Probably best to do a local backup, as the console patch apparently alters the savegame files, making them incompatible with earlier versions. I'm gonna switch Steam updates off and wait for news.....
runicNomad
yah I have steam updates locked and dont even have the altered exe that messed up the 4gb patch. I am not liking how these are patching. I wish they would just give us the CK and the community could fix the bugs and we could actually manually download the patch and know what is being changed.Hopefully we will just get a few patches or maybe even one official then the CK and then we will have back the control we are used to with the unofficial community patches...I would love it too if patches had every single fine detail of what was changed and fixed that would help us figure stuff out later on. stimresp
The patch seems to have been released for PC now. Initial reports suggest the same issues found by console users are also evident in the PC update (loss of resistance, backward dragons). Time to get some popcorn:http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1298202-12-patch-released-for-pc/
Iv000
I don't recommend downloading it.The resistances are all useless, and dragons are bugged, more then before that is.And, It seems the patch didn't even fix the tons of Quest bugs, and general bugs. Good thing I told Steam not to update Skyrim. I would be in deep trouble now if it did.

They fixed some gameplay issues, but that really was it. And they broke stuff bigtime.
Handofbane
Well, unfortunately I didn't turn off my updates, and am stuck with the new patch. Not gonna play in offline mode (I talk to multiple RL friends through Steam community), just going to have to avoid playing Skyrim and play something else til they get this mess fixed. At least they have acknowledged it was a problem... too bad they didn't try to stop the patch from going live on 360/Steam, despite having an extra 24 hours to ask it to be delayed from the PS3 release.
