Which Settlement Keyword mod to use?

...()...For Homemaker I am not use the the latest SKE version, since Homemaker had an update, and SKE overwrites the .esp, which has not been updated after Homemaker...()...

SKE only overwrites Homemaker if you let it. If you've let it, then simply re-install Homemaker and let that one overwrite SKE :wink:

 

I did not get the overwrite option, and ended up with 6 .esp's. I just disabled the ones from SKE, and everything is fine with the menus.

I don't use any of them because I don't use any mods that require them and for a really long time none of them were being properly updated. However SKE is being updated again and as far as I know is the only one receiving active updates so I'd suggest it. I think it also has the broadest support from the big mods like Homemaker that still support some sort of SK variant. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12226/?

It's not an "option", you get a pop-up warning (like with any other mod that overwrites assets from vanilla or another mod) with several choices, either to overwrite everything, no, yes, no to mod, etc...

SKE hasn't been updated in over a month, however. I appreciate the modder is doing but he is going through some personal s*** and needs to deal with that so he hasn't updated for at least three game patches revolving around Nuka-World. SKE is now incompatible with quite a few mods and causes a CTD on load.

 

*EDIT: Incompatible mods include Homemaker, Art Connoisseur, Northland Diggers, and I'm pretty sure OCDecorator. I have run these mods with SKE and always ended with a CTD after splash screen, and disabling SKE fixes the problem. I have currently disabled all SKE dependent mods which leaves a pretty big gap in my mod collection, actually.

The only one of those mods I use is OCDecorator and thankfully it has a non SKE version. I don't use Homemaker cause I don't want thousands of items I'm not interested in using cluttering up my workshop but doesn't that have a non SKE version also? Historically the use of a settlement keywords framework just doesn't seem to have been as successful as the armor/weapon keywords system has been because the updating is always so far behind major changes by Bethesda. It's been heavily fragmented by too many variations and not enough support. I kind of think of Armorsmith , Weaponsmith and AWKCR as being the same mod though they are technically all different mods, but they're so intertwined that they offer really useful features beyond just organizing which is why I think it's been more successful and more popular. Plus there are at least two authors of AWKCR which probably helps a lot when it comes to quick response updates to changes made by Bethesda. You're not relying on a single person who has a life beyond mod support.
