Xouthpaw Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 After doing quests I seem to get many undroppable quest items, like the Elder Scroll. It weighs 20 lbs. Is there a way to get rid of this or other quest items? I could use console commands but I want to know if they just expect you to haul around this Elder Scroll throughout your travels..
Schattenu Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 You can sell it to the orc at the College of Winterhold for like 2000 gold or something.
Kuramin Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) That orc librarian guy in the College of Winterhold will take it off your hands for like 2000 gold or so... I think. Edit: Beaten to it! At least the information was correct! :P Edited December 1, 2011 by Kuramin
lordandromeda Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 They shared bout the scroll, but as for weapons, you can "force" them to be removed by mounting them on weapon racks. Just be careful if you intend to turn in such a quest item later. The 2 dagger chests in the windhelm house bedroom will lock any dagger put in and never give it back.
Bellmaethorion Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 2000g is a ridiculous price. The first person to bring a crimson nirnroot to the guy who was studying them got 1000g for that, though the guy said he'd have paid ten times that. I'm quite sure that an elder scroll is quite a bit more rare than a crimson nirnroot.

I was doing that until I realized that the weight penalty was not removed from my inventory total so I figured why bother.
