HoneyRebecca
I am unable to access the travel center by road, by path, by TCL - I have gone up and down the border near and far from the travel center but I continue to get the "You cannot go that way" message. I've asked this question on Facebook groups - pictures of the path to take are provided and when using those there is no access. I've gotten within 79 steps but still no access. I have been able to see the Nuka Cola bottle and the travel center in the same area. I wonder if someone can provide a console code or perhaps a mod that will allow me to enter. TheVampireDante
Find and open the Fallout.ini file located in "My Documents/My Games/Fallout4" Locate the [General] section of the ini and add this: bBorderRegionsEnabled=0 Save your change, then load up the game and try to see if you can access the station now. Downloading a mod which does what you can manually alter by yourself (like The Vampire Dante already said) is a bit silly. I've been playing with the bBorderRegionsEnabled= set to zero since February, just because I like to have a peek beyond the perimeter of the allowed game space. Altering that line in the Fallout.ini has absolutely no other consequences forthe game than allowing you to go beyond the game's borders... It's not silly when I altered the bBorderRegions line and it didn't work. The No Borders mod worked.
JimmyRJump
Altering the bBorderRegionEnabled= in the Fallout.ini should always work. That's why it's an .ini file, to tell the game what to do. If it doesn't work, then you've altered other stuff which either resets that line or in another way counters it...

JimmyRJump
Okay. You have it your way then. You don't seem to fathom why there's .ini files and why they 'should' work. They're configuration files. They tell the game how to behave and what to do. If they don't work, they have no use, eh? Well, then, try to run the game without an .ini file. This being said, good for you that you made things work through a mod...

I am not stupid and I understand why they should work but in this particular case they didn't. My Vault 88 shouldn't crash when I try to build or move things but it does. JimmyRJump
Now why on Earth would you think I'm being aggressive? Aggravated, maybe, yes, but aggressive? Nope. That there's a few things you don't seem to understand is yet again proven by your comparison between the altering of a line in the Fallout.ini file and your Vault 88 crashing. The latter has nothing to do with .ini file settings but with bugs in the DLC and/or clashes with other mods you've got installed. I'm not an expert, far from, just trying to explain stuff that I know and learn from others that know more than me. I've had my fair share of problems with Vault 88 and left the DLC for what it is and continued the game without going back to the place.
