CTD when inspecting/previewing some Nuka World Items

As the title suggests, my game crashes to desktop when I go and inspect certain items from the Nuka World DLC. As of right now, I have two confirmed items that do this: the Nuka Girl suit and the Cappy Glasses. The first (Nuka Girl Suit) I found out when just trying to pick it up during the DLC. And because of where and how it is, there I can't get followers to pick it up for me. The second (Cappy Glasses) I found out by accident. And strangely, it's happening to it, after I remember it not doing that. Any time I use inspect when highlighting it in the Pip-Boy, or even just picking it up an getting the little legendary item preview, the game will obviously crash.

 

However, like the title, this does not apply to all. The handmade rifle (Nuka World's AK) can be inspected just fine, the same can be said about a .44 with the Western grips, although I have yet to test it with any of the other items in the DLC (though, like the Cappy Glasses, I remember some, like say some of the Cowboy stuff, not crashing to Desktop).

 

 

I've tried validating my files, and restarting Steam. Both did nothing. I believe I tried restarting my computer as well, though I'm not sure if I did, or if it did nothing. I also was suspicious on one mod causing the issue (as I first only thought it was with the Nuka Girl Suit), Elianora's Nuka Suit, given how I thought that it might have been filed similar. After trying to pick up the Nuka Girl suit with the mod disabled, and checking the mod's page for anyone having the same issue, I found that both of those did nothing.

 

Does anyone have any idea on what is causing this issue, or having a possible fix for it? I will try and make sure nothing else crashes my game as well, and if I do find anything, I will update this.

CTD because of highlighting an item usually means it concerns an item which has been added through a general mod that meakes use of the assets of said item, but you don't have the item itself through its original mod. Like when AWKRC adds weapons but you don't have the stand-alone ones. Textures and meshes are there, but they refer to the original, which you don't have and whoopie, the game's a goner...

But that's the weird thing though. I can expect this from a mod (and have seen it before with unoctium's Enclave X-02 power armor, as I had the misfortune of having the suit spawn with the Tesla Helmet while it wasn't put into the game properly), but these are actual Items from the DLC, and as with the Nuka Girl suit, I can't even get it at all without this happening. And I don't know what is causing it too.

Try to disable the unofficial patch, I can't say that's the problem, but after disable mods one by one, the result is that the patch is the cause of these legendary picking up crash, which is sadly since it did kill some annoying bugs in the original game. Or, download the "No Feature Items" to skip the inspection menu when picking up legendary items, and never inspect any synth/combat legendary armor in the rest of your game play, hopefully the unofficial patch team will find out the reason soon enough.
