cartman1975
Like some other people, i can't place the raider flags to take over a settlement (shanks quest). The flags are available (after i fixed the problem with the menu overrides) but i can't build them. I messed around with the conditions of the constructible objects in FO4Edit and found out, that it is one condition which causes the problem: http://img4web.com/t/CZK65C.png With this condition disabled, i can build the flag. But i am sure, this is just a quick&dirty workaround and doesn't solve the problem Better Settlers is most probably not the problem and Settler Renaming is completly deinstalled on my computer What else could be the reason of this behaviour? cartman1975
I found the solution in the beth forum: https://community.bethesda.net/thread/78435 Use FO4edit to identify the problem causing mod: After a bit more research - if you have the Exact same issue as I did, and you have fo4edit or something to check for conflicts, load it up, wait for it to do its 'building reference info' thing, and take a look at the WorkshopParent quest in the base Fallout 4.esm > Quest > 0002058E. if there's a mod overriding it, scroll down, see if you find any bits highlighted Yellow if they're 'WorkshopSettlementMenuExcludeList', WorkshopType02, WorkshopType02 Vassal, and a line under caravans for clear name on remove.. It was "where are my provisioners" in my list, but there are other mods which are also causing problems Edited September 8, 2016 by cartman1975
TheDevian
For me, it turned out to be Fishers, a mod that is, as of this post, no longer available. Thanks for the help tracking it down.
Deleted426758User
Hey guys! I got this problem now. Already deactivated all my installed mods, but the signal flags are still greyed out.Can someone help me please?
stormykopa
Same for me. I'm not sure if it's related to my other issue where Shank just won't let me vassalize a settlement no matter what I do (stage 110). But both these issues have persisted for me and I can't make more raider outposts with this quest broken like it is.
LuckyArcher2795
Hi, new here. I have an answer at least if you're using settlement expansion mods like CONQUEST. Attack settlement as you normally would. Once prompted to place flag go to console and enter help signal 4. find ref# for the raider flag/gang you're using. Player. placeatme that number. Place your flag and quest completes. remember the first two digits are unique for each player and are needed to "placeatme" the rest of your missing raider resources. You do not need to kill the generator, crops, etc. No clue if particular mods prevent you from doing this. radio transmitter xx015aa0 gear store xx035727 booze joint xx01e960amplifier xx01d95a weapons store xx01e95fbooze still xx030a99 outfit xx01e95e chem xx01e961pickme up xx032f47 armor xx01e95d
LuckyArcher2795
Break Break. You'll have to store the flag place again and quest completes. When hooking transmitter up to power you may not get prompted it's operational. Just check the PIP. Forgot to add tribute chest in last xx02d44c.
