Fallout Alternates One 55.1 [82]

Thirteen GreatOnes there were floating, fighting, thrashing in that vast chamber of positive-negative existence.

 

The GreatBalancing, the GreatBurning, the GreatManipulator, the GreatShadow, the GreatSparking, the GreatIcer, the GreatFlesh, the GreatDevourer, the GreatDesolation, the GreatPhasing, the GreatRadiance, the GreatEvokator and the GreatLusionist.

 

Inside, of each of the GreatOnes floating a single naked young woman figure and, though each had noticeable differences, every one of them was in many ways just like Sarah Lyons. One of thirteen Sarah Lyon variations were at the core of each of the Thirteen GreatOnes.

 

The never ending conflict continued with there being no noticeable near winner let alone a winner.

 

A vast multitude of other exotic entities observed from a safe distance, being in every direction possible, and not so possible, out from the endless actions-reaction conflict.

 

It seemed that Sarah Lyons was at the core of everything happening but was that true and was it even truly Sarah Lyons being reflected there in the thirteen altered reflections?

 

If one looked closely enough one would see a relatively small rainbow sphere of flowing, glowing, gracefully beautiful rainbow patterns. The semitransparent sphere allowed a glimpse of a naked Sarah Lyons sitting cross legged holding the Rainbowbaby to her breasts. Around them orbited many much smaller glowing rainbow spheres or rainbow-entities.

Fallout Alternates One 56.1 [83]

 

Into the domeland the attackers charged, cyberclones in power armour or merged into special heavy power armour as cybermans. Cybermans stomped along firing off heavy portable autocannons, missile launchers, rocketgrenade launchers, lasers, phasers, plasma guns, railguns and other weapons. Cybertroopers, cyberclones in power armour, moved faster with lighter armoured-arms. Then there were low hulking cybermecha on two, four or six legs. Some were fighting troop carriers while others were focused warmachines.

 

With them came burning-entities, sending jets of super burning flame as attacks and counter attacks against defenders' missiles.

 

FEARIUs attacked but not before popup turrets did just that from hidden, armoured, pockets and blazed away with heavy weapons or attempted to gain more data on the large enemy strike force. At least half exploded even as they popped up, decoying the enemy from shooting at the FEARIUs moving in counter attack formation.

 

The invaders spread out, having come through a great tunnel, running straight into smart landmines, some designed to strike at hovercraft or even low flying ones. More popup turrets struck, some very big this time, as long range missile, drone and energy pulsebeam attacks took place on the invaders.

 

It did not take very long for the enemy force to start to smartly make a fighting retreat. It was soon very clear that they had been taken by surprise by the defensive power that they had run into.

 

Then everything changed as rainbow-entities came racing into the great domeland in moderately large numbers, spreading out and gently exploding rainbow energies in all directions that went through everybody and everything. With them came far more balancing-entities that assisted the rainbow-entities by giving them their energies to boost them.

 

The enemy halted except for the burning-entities that fled and then the cyberclones were being transformed in a fashion far more fundamental, and subtle, than any of the GreatOnes had managed.

 

Sarah Lyons, yes she was naked, floated through the air holding the Rainbowbaby to herself. As they came into the domeland, to meet the three Sarah Lyons superclones, the power of the two of them caused a great transformation to start to flow through the whole domeland and beyond.

 

SarahGaia, SarahEle and SarahIni faced the floating Sarah Lyons and the sleepy Rainbowbaby.

 

Sarah Lyons spoke in a voice that seemed to come from every direction at once. “SarahPrime is arising to be the leading SL Superclone of the thirteen of you. You, SarahGaia, will be joined by SarahLord Lyons and SarahWays as the secondary superclones of the thirteen. The rest of you are to be SarahAta, SarahEle, SarahUlt, SarahBos, SarahIni, SarahXfi, SarahRay, SarahSun and SarahTru.”

 

She spoke on. “There were thirteen superclones, based partly on one Sarah Lions who was resurrected to become SarahLio Lyons. They had the very same names that you thirteen superclones have been given. That is SarahPrime, SarahGaia, SarahLord, SarahWays, SarahAta, SarahEle, SarahUlt, SarahBos, SarahIni, SarahXfi, SarahRay, SarahSun and SarahTru. You are reborn from the original Sarah Lyons Thirteen as created by the insanity of the 13Gen13 who were themselves cloned supergeniuses.”

Sarah spoke on. “My knowledge is still painfully limited but I know that the superclones were created in a hurry to integrate, in a very foolish experiment, with an amazingly powerful artefact known as a Rainbowtoy. That is one of thirteen Rainbowtoys belonging to the Rainbowbaby. Thankfully it was not her primary Rainbowtoy but unfortunately it was a still extremely potent secondary Rainbowtoy.”

“The original superclones began to become distorted mind-body-spirit as they took upon new ways and became powerful as living goddesses. The 13Gen13 lost control of them. The clones became the GreatOnes. Only the GreatBalancing kept some kind of real awareness and sanity as she fought to mitigate the power of the others. All of the thirteen were fundamentally almost the same entity but in many ways that only made matters worse and yet in that basic nature was hope and still is hope.”

“Wastelands Sarah Lyons was born as a almost human woman having two fathers, one being Owen Lyons and another being a mysterious entity whose very nature eludes me at this moment but I suspect that the GreatBalancing was somehow linked with it as was the Mysterious Stranger as that entity-of-entities really is.”

SarahGaia spoke. “Are we real or just copies?”

Sarah Lyons smiled. “We are all as genuine as each other being of the original creation that only started with the foolishness of the 13Gen13 for as the process continued other influences took place upon the process. This is the primary aspect of the Rainbowbaby who has thirteen aspects. The number is far from a coincidence that flows through our world. I must go very soon. Thirteen Sarah Lyons exist now as an entity-of-entities, each Sarah Lyons being with a Rainbowbaby aspect.”

Sarah Lyons: “Plans shift, coalesce! We thirteen are the primary thirteen of thirteen thirteens. You thirteen are a secondary and will, each of your thirteen, gain three special thirteens to serve you; many have already appeared such as SarahBos' transformed Lyons Pride, SarahAta's Lyons Valiant, SarahEle's Lyons Fearless, SarahIni's Lyons Investigative and SarahUlt's Lyons Vanguard.”

SarahGaia spoke out, with some obvious pride. “Add to that SarahGaia's Lyons Gaiaguard.”

Sarah Lyons gave a little bow. “Of course, my sweetness. Know that I am not fully, truly, here. To truly, fully, meet me SarahEle you need to move onwards with SarahIni's assistance while you keep serving, and protecting, this changing domain. It is to become renamed as Gaialand Prime of the Thirteen Gaialands. I will 'meet' with you again as soon as I can do so.”

Then she was gone almost as if she had never been there.

Around them the seemingly impossible was happening in more than way as the domeland expanded as the bubblechamber that it truly was. It expanded, evolved, sparkling shimmering and somehow all there were safe though often in a kind of phase removed status. The central lake became a central fresh water sea. The sky grew higher above and more clouds appeared.

The settlements, around the rim of the new sea, increased in size and others appeared midway and at the curving wall. The great enlarging sunplates above glowed stronger to compensate for the increase in general size of the domeland. There were natural reserve areas, agricultural areas, stretches of common semiwilderness and other designated parts. Roads, and railways, were mostly underground in tunnels.

The population, mainly flora-fauna, increased. This was a more complicated-subtle transformation than those instigated by the GreatBalancing alone. It felt different, was even more 'balanced' and there was an underlying sense that more than the Rainbowbaby and the GreatBalancing were behind it.

 

There was nothing they could do but wait patiently but they also picked up that time passed differently where they were and that they could afford the wait.

 

The domeland was taking on a very improved Wastelands like existence with the former 'ruins' now being famous international PreDoomsday landmarks and other features. An island arose in the center of the central sea and from it sprouted, from its very center, a great tabletop mountain and from the very center of that a vast multiple trunked tree of vaguely banyan type appearance.

Fallout Alternates One 57.1 [86]

 

Beneath Megaton was the Megaton Subway Station that turned out to be far larger than it first appeared to be for it had five sections, three being 'subrailway' stations, one being an underground 'subroadway' station and one being a larger transportation service-support site with many integrated features.

 

There was a whole manufactory dedicated to making things for the secret monorail subway network-systems. From such as basic cleaning remoterobots to security turrets, monorail sections, to train carriage parts and far more, the autorobotic complex was amazingly sophisticated. It was only semiactive with security and maintenance network-systems at work.

 

It was there, exploring the big Megaton Subway Station, that SarahAta utilised growing exotic powers to find a big basic well hidden chamber that was partly filled up with over 100 bodybags; they were full of dead workers who had clearly been killed to help keep the secret of the monorail subway network-system. It was no surprise that they were mostly Soviet POWs but there were political prisoners also that had been US Citizens incarcerated by an increasingly autocratic, and paranoid, government.

 

SarahAta studied the desiccated remains of one of the murdered people, realising that they had all been killed by being horrifically fed upon, being drained of liquefied flesh, blood and life energies. There were a range of entities that could feed that way even if a few chose not to do so.

 

The energies flooded gently out from her, going through the bodybags and the things inside them. A transformation followed and she was confronting living humans, mostly men but there were some women, in jumpsuits and other gear. The bodybags were gone and their material had probably helped to create the new gear.

 

More FEARIUs were moving into the complex, entering from Megaton but much more so from the secret monorail subway station linked to Megaton.

 

A self important Megaton Leadership Council member stomped his way into a large meeting room followed by a nervous male personal assistant, an unsurprisingly attractive young woman as his secretary-mistress and two taciturn thuggish bodyguards.

 

The man was Edward Moriarty, a close cousin to the more infamous Colin Moriarty, owner-manager of Megaton's casino and stripclub that was also semiofficially a brothel. As a casino it had only a few games that were surprisingly not rigged though still biased towards the 'house' winning. It was said that Edward was under secret investigation by the Megaton Sheriff's Office in which case it was not a very well kept secret.

 

Councillor Moriarty looked around at those at the meeting table and then smiled in a grand fashion. “I come, in the name of the Megaton Leadership Council, to claim this whole complex as our property and all of its resources as our resources.”

 

SarahAta gave him a cold, hard, look and probed him with her growing exotic abilities, as she did his companions. “Your claim has no real foundation and is rejected. You are false; I would have named you as doppelgangers but you are more dangerous than that for you are superdoppelgangers.”

 

The fake councillor nodded. “We are no threat to you! I am a superdoppelganger as is my supposed secretary-mistress but the others are doppelgangers. We serve the GreatLusionist who tires of has been taking place.”

Fallout Alternates One 57.2 [87]

 

“Though not trapped in status-ice, the GreatLusionist has to admit that one is weak in comparison to GreatOnes such as the GreatBalancing, the GreatShadow and the GreatDevourer but is equal to a fair few other GreatOnes. The GreatLusionist wishes to reach out a hand of friendship and to offer mutual friendship and positive alliance.”

 

SarahAta sighed. “If you leave now I will let you survive. You can afford that lying, distorted, reflection of Sarah Lyons that her foolish play will not work. What she really wants is uncertain but it bodes no good that she would obtain it to further her own schemes. We have been warned, by the GreatBalancing, about the tricks of the GreatLusionist.”

 

The superdoppelgangers, and doppelgangers, departed quietly and quickly. The real councillor was found dead in a small Megaton Crater house that he rented under a false name; he was tied nakedly to a large bed with leather straps. Clearly he had been killed by what he had assumed was his secretary-mistress and SM dominatrix. The real woman was found tied up in her bedroom dressed, underneath normal women's clothing, in a skimpy black leather SM outfit. As for the bodyguards, the real Councillor had no such men to protect him for the Megaton Leadership Councillors did not tend to need them; it was one of the more basic reasons for the failure of the ruse.

 

It was no real surprise that the GreatOnes were still struggling against one another but the GreatLusionist's indirect approach to one of the SL Superclones, through some of her minions, was a new kind of move. It also indicated that it was not just the GreatShadow that had biosynths, and synths, serving it. Did this indicate some kind of alliance between the GreatShadow and the GreatLusionist.

 

SarahAta had sensed deception in the approach, of the superdoppelgangers and doppelgangers, so it had been wise to push them away. The question came to her of what was the GreatLusionist really after and was it something to do with the Megaton Subway Station or was it to do with her or?

 

Floating close to her materialised a rainbow glowing sphere, a rainbow-entity far more powerful but also more subtly so, than the thirteen types of minion-entities serving the GreatOnes.

 

SarahAta spoke to those around her. “This rainbow-entity is here to serve me, to help protect me, but will do the same for all of us. Now, I suggest we allow Megaton to have access to a large part of the Megaton Subway Station.”

 

BlackWidow spoke. “We superhero metaclones wish to go out into the Wastelands to fight for common Wastelanders. Our powers, and temperaments, are better suited to such duties. We would no longer be of the Lyons Valiant which would be better off with such as enhanced FEARIUs.”

 

SarahAta smiled, giving an impression of not being at all surprised. “SarahHero Lyons will meet you at RivetCity to help form three teams of thirteen superheroes. There are already a few missions for you to carry out and you already have agreements with the Regulators, the Orderhood of Steel and other factions.”

 

“The FEARIUs will send a small force with you and SarahHero will have others with her on the old, much to be fixed up, cruiser the SS Swordblade. It was a concept battlecruiser that did not work half as well, in war games, as it needed to and had a very early retirement but it should prove to be a very good base.”

“As metaclone superheroes you will be freer to go on your own missions and often will need to be more independent in your decision making as you work in smaller teams. The new Lyons Valiant members are already chosen from amongst the FEARIUs who have become fans of yours and will continue to be so. They want you all, as a larger group, to be known as the Wastelands Ovengers.”

 

BlackWidow sighed. “It is getting impossible to take you by surprise, the Sarah Lyons Collective. As for the FEARIUs, we are fans of theirs as much as they are fans of us.”

 

SarahAta smiled. “As SarahHero I will continue to be with you, as will all of us in a way. SarahHero has a special status out from the new SL13x13 but that status is yet to be fully resolved.”

 

BlackWidow sighed yet again. “Why do I have this feeling that the SL13x13 sensed in us metaclone superheroes a desire for more independence and then 'pushed' it, which explains why everything was ready to do so.”

 

SarahAta frowned softly. “If that happened it was most likely a decision done by the Sarah Lyons core thirteen, the floating naked ones that each has an aspect of the Rainbowbaby with her. We, of the thirteen superclones, have not done this to you. You gained what you wanted. As for the reasoning, of Sarah Lyons, we are not much more aware of the truth than you are. You are needed out there, in the Wastelands, where your special natures can do much that other factions find difficult to do; that is you will have more flexibility, more independence, than other can achieve when dealing with scattered challenges across the Wastelands.”

 

Yet SarahAta was now starting to think more intently about what had happened with the Lyons Valiant metaclones. What was SarahLyons up to or were the SL prime thirteen simply acting-reacting along with every new event?

 

Suddenly she spoke to BlackWidow. “I will get back to you on those concerns of yours; perhaps there is more to them than I first assumed.”

 

BlackWidow nodded. “Thank you. I had best go and prepare, with the other superheroes, for our journey to RivetCity.”

 

After BlackWidow had left the chamber, SarahAta Lyons continued to command the FEARIU efforts in the large complex. A first load of useful resources were sent up to Megaton to be carefully distributed by the FEARIUs, much to the chagrin of the Megaton Leadership Council. The MLC was generally inept, petty corrupt and riven by too many factions. Even as the day went on it was disbanded by the first Megaton People's Convention and was replaced by a Temporary Leadership Council.

 

SarahAta's mind was rechecking all of the events that had taken place since the original Sarah Lyons, of Lyons Pride, had fought supermutants and ghouls in the Mall of WashingtonCC. She was starting to wonder if she, and the others like her, had been deliberately manipulated into always being so busy that they did not perceive what was really going on. It was a deeply disturbing idea.
