Fallout Alternates Zero 13.1 [89]

 

A large group of OofS people abruptly depart from the CCCitadel and start travelling towards CCSanctum through the no longer so secret monorail subway network. SarahBos has sent them for they are people who no longer feel comfortable with dwelling in the citadel or even its settlement. Individuals have been vanishing, others having horrible dreams, yet others seeing disturbing things mostly out of the corners of their eyes and so forth. There have been unexplained drainages on power. Yet the OofS Elders Council is becoming more aloof, alienated and secretive every day. SarahBos, and Lyons Pride, continue to secretly carry out their investigations with the help of a growing number of others.

 

SarahAta continues to direct the operations below Megaton and is soon being irritated by the new Temporary Leadership Council of Megaton; they have gained many valuable resources but seem to want more the more they get. In the end she seals of the Megaton Subway Station from all but a few carefully chosen visitors. The Temporary Leadership Council is forced to change its approach and the list, of allowable visitors, is extended.

 

SarahUlt continues her operations in SanasTerminus but with no more troubles from outside forces.

 

SarahGaia, SarahIni, and SarahEle, are in the Gaialand that is still being transformed though the pace of it is slowing down.

 

SarahXfi is assisting the XFIA with investigations of the Thirteen SafeVaults when SafeVault-11-7/9 has its outer most wheel-door opened. It reveals a very big elevator chamber full of special chairs, lockers full of equipment-supplies and other features; it is as if the elevator is designed to travel very quickly and for its occupants to be safe as it does so; there are even safe holders for dogs and other animals along with robots. As yet the elevator can not be activated.

 

SarahHero appears in RivetCity and buys the big old experimental cruiser but does not evict those who live there; she pays many resources to RivetCity in exchange for a vessel that is barely used.

 

Newly renamed SarahLio Lyons is launched, by teleport-cable, from Megaton to the LSComplex/CCSanctum but she somehow vanishes on the way as she is diverted in a seemingly impossible fashion. Investigations begin in both Megaton and the CCSanctum.

 

The underground car park area, where Giggles staid with others including an aspect of Uncle Leo, became the settlement of Giggledance. Giggledance was soon a thriving town where an increasing trickle of refugees arrived, sometimes going further into CCSanctum but just as often staying in Giggledance. The dances, of a giggling Giggles, became a daily event on a heavily reinforced sunken stage behind a thick, high, safety wall a safe distance from the audience that looked down upon her from tiers of seats.

 

The almost-maybe famous poet, Asgotto the Findingtruth, publishes his poem 'Ode to a much vaunted reality not so real to me-myself-I' in the Wasteland Enquirer. The editor in chief is surprised to see it in print as are the others in the newsroom of the hidden place where the newspaper is created. That is in LifeVault-001 also known as Vaultcity. Indeed nobody really knows who, what, Asgotto the Findingtruth is except for some vague whispers and some other poems that have shown up mostly as graffiti on Wastelands walls.

Fallout Alternates Zero 13.2 [90]

 

The strange vanishing of the wreck of an atomic sedan and the skeletal remains inside it, that SarahAta had witnessed on her way to the CCCitadel with a changed Lyons Pride, had been taking place ever since. That is in a scattered fashion across the Wastelands but but with more frequency; despite this it was still a fairly uncommon event.

 

The tabloid, the Wastelands Truth, reported that some kind of invisible atomic machine eating monster was on a rampage. Both 3Dog and the Wastelands Enquirer gave a far more rational, believable account, of the dematerialisation of not just cars but other bigger atomic motorised machines be they cars, buses, tractors, battletanks, trains or of other kinds. It was typical, of the Wastelands, that a great number believed the crazy story in the Wastelands Truth more than they did the accounts of the Wastelands Enquirer and the 3DGalaxy Radio Station.

 

Walter, with the assistance of Astrid the android, is investigating the various 'budget shelters' that were built before Doomsday. They were made by different corporations and other bodies, most seeing them as a cruel joke with those having desperately sought shelter in them having surely died. Yet, as the research goes on the facts and figures do not seem to add up as many odd accounts arise, many being from unlikely sources such as graffiti stories scrawled on walls by those dying or becoming ghoulified or even somehow surviving generally the same as they had been. People went into such shelters and seemingly vanished as others came after them to find empty chambers. Some shelters took far more refugees into them than seemed possible. Other shelters turned out to be far more effective than one might easily have guessed from their descriptions. Yet others seemed to have strange effects on those who sought shelter in them during Doomsday.

 

Jasmine Armstrong is saved from trouble with the LifeVault-101 Overseers simply because they are finding that they need her, at least for the moment. Also the Prime Overseer herself as vouched for Jasmine but why remains a mystery. No more solitary isolation experimental areas are found, in DemiLifevault-101E, or any other type of experiments. The last of the zerker radroach breeders is found and dealt with carefully. Both zerkers, and normal radroaches, are soon not a problem in the demilifevault with radroaches being carefully kept in large, special designed chambers, to provide ongoing resources to the vault.

 

Professor James Armstrong is sighted in Megaton but only briefly. He is with three mysterious figures in brown shabby hoodrobes who have their features well concealed; they smell, move and sound strange when they speak, which is not often; James does most of the talking.

 

Caesar's Empire is spreading close to where NewVegas, a heavily fortified settlement ruled by the mysterious MrHouse. The New Republic of Western Calizona is sending an army into the area after the NRWC had a brief war with the Brotherhood of Steel, based in the Lost Mountains, that ended in a wary treaty. Exchanges of resources are taking place as trade as the republic gains some power armour, robots and other hitech. The BoS gains a wide variety of much needed basic resources such as food, biofuel and building materials.

 

Caesar's Empire is made up largely of animans that are mostly chimpmans, they being quite savage fighters. There are other animans along with humans but many humans are slaves as are ghoulmans. Except that there are oddities about the empire, and Caesar himself, that do not quite 'add up'.

In order to confuse readers even more, I have done a major editing, simplification, of numbering to make just one main story, that is Story One. Subzero has become the start of some new stories. Superzero has vanished, having returned to its home world of Zerotron. I have added a 'Zero Episode' to Post #1 but it is quite small; Zero otherwise remains as it was.

Fallout Alternates One 58.1 [91]

 

“The variety of things, as found in the Wastelands, in statistically improbable; the range is far too limited. There are too few types of atomic motorcars, too few varieties of canned food, too few types of dresses and the list goes on.” Professor Eisenpro wiped some sweat of his brow in the WashingtonCC underground university that had once been part of a much bigger establishment. The room was a little stuffy and warm but that was not why he was sweaty. “It has been stressful for me to come to terms with this truth but for reasons that... I can not quite understand.”

 

Academics, workers, farmers and others strove to keep the university settlement running; there were robots, supercomputer run network-systems and more. There was a healthy trade with Subwayers who often sent their young adults to be taught there in a range of subjects from brick laying to basic physics, higher mathematics and even such as Wastelands Geography.

 

The amazing Professor Praxis stood there almost as if he had always been there. Fairly dapper, fairly handsome, slimly muscular, he lay his black briefcase on the big round table that the high caste academics were sitting at. He spoke even as he did so. “You sweat, you suffer stress, because you find yourself fighting against a massively powerful, but subtle, psychic-spiritual solid illusion. You have done very well in getting this far with out having a nervous breakdown though I suggest you put some trousers on.”

 

He opened up the briefcase and quickly, efficiently, lay some odd looking headbands out on the table. “Imagine a well organised group of humans as led by cloned supergeniuses. Imagine that, deep inside the moon of Luna, that an expedition of astronauts stumble upon a powerful alien artefact that is a rainbow sphere floating stead fast in the air. Instead of wisely leaving it alone, leaving it in the amazing chamber that they find it in, they steal it and depart with it. Please put on the headbands as quickly as you can or you may die as a result of what I am telling you.”

 

The elite caste academics do so, all of them being supergeniuses in their own right, find themselves going along with the instructions and then each of them feels much better; they had not realised that they had felt as bad, as they had been, in the first place. A woman professor covered up her bare breasts and, then, realising that nobody else seemed to care, didn't bother.

 

Professor Praxis sits down on an empty chair. “First thing first! While leaving a large group here, most of you need to go to CCSanctum because those headbands are limited in just how much they can protect you. More folks, resources of many kinds, will come here. The research development projects will continue along with the more theoretical researches. In the CCSanctum you will go to a place known as the Thirteen Gaialands and there you will meet others who will join you in efforts to more deeply understand just what has really been going on and both how and why it has been doing so. Teleport-cables will allow you to visit here until a more effective, safer and advanced system can be developed.”

 

Professor Allessia, the bare breasted one, sighed. “We agree to do as you say because we see the truth in your words, it adds up with our own knowledge, and because we neither want to have nervous breakdowns or to die. How will will we get there.”

 

He nodded. “Teleport-cable for a teleport-cable station, before hidden, has been discovered here at Thinkcity, as its popular name is.” He took out a Tshirt and threw it lightly to Allessia who slipped it on. The Tshirt fitted her neatly as if it had been tailored for her and somehow that just made sense. A pair of trousers was then given over to the bottomless male professor.

 

So plans were soon being made and being carried out by Thinktown's elites.

Fallout Alternates One 59.1 [92]

 

Abruptly, with out explanation, the whole of the LSComplex shifted from its old location to being attached directly to two of the Thirteen Gaialands. They were still in the CCSanctum but much deeper now. Somehow everything adjusted and anybody, anything, left behind was soon transported to the moved LSComplex; they were not many, anyway.

 

Alice, and Terry, Lyons came to the Central Gaialand and stood in a massive tree-town up in the branches of the 'supertree' that now centered that Gaialand domeland that was the top half of a bubbleland. With them were the LS Superclones SarahGaia, SarahEle and SarahIni. SarahPrime, the new director of the Thirteen LS Superclones, the 13SLSC, was also there having recently arrived with the surprising information that she would be based in one of the three Secondary Gaialands.

 

SarahXfi was assisting Walter Bishop, Astrid, and others with a expanding research project into the so called budget shelters that had been constructed during the decade just before Doomsday.

 

Monkeymans climbed dexterously through the great treetop using branches, ropes, walkways and other means with amazing skill.

 

FEARIUs were in large numbers there along with others be they animans, androids, superhumans of former supermutants, rhouls as former ghouls and a wide variety of others.

 

SarahPrime had her Lyons Primus there to support her. She spoke. “SarahSun and SarahWays are on their way with their Lyons Elites and many beloved FEARIUs. SarahLord is going to work with you, Alice Lyons, in assisting in commanding the CCSanctum. She will, of course, have her own Lyons Elite and her FEARIUs. SarahTru, and SarahRay, are joining the big new Gaia University here in one of the Nine Foundational Gaialands. Terry Lyons, I hope that you and the XFIA will join the university.”

 

She went on speaking. “I am the one Prime SL Superclone. The Secondaries are SarahGaia, SarahLord and SarahWays. The Foundationals are SarahAta, SarahEle, SarahUlt, SarahSun, SarahIni, SarahXfi, SarahBos, SarahTru and SarahRay. But there is now also SarahHero based in RivetCity who will direct the new Wastelands Ovengers who used to be the members of the now changed Lyons Valiant.

 

She sighed. “We are being prepared for a series of important tasks but I do not know anything more specific.”

 

Graceful aeroships and aeroboats glided through the sky of the slowly, steadily, expanding Central Gaialand. There were also airships and airboats. Less graceful aerobarges, and airbarges, flew lower to the sea. Ships, and boats, sailed on the waters. Submarines, boats or bigger ships, swam undersea.

 

Then she spoke again. “SarahUlt will come here from SanasTerminus while SarahAta will come here from Megaton, meaning here to CCSanctum. SarahBos will come to here from the CCCitadel. They will all be replaced by others who will be more like SarahHero, that is outside of the 13SLSC. Perhaps there will be thirteen of them, one day, but they will not be arranged as we are or so I compute. We are both secondary thirteens to the prime thirteen of the Sarah Lyons.”

 

SarahIni spoke. “An extremely complicated game of chess where everything is always changing.”

 

Rainbow-entities floated fairly close at hand being one for each SL Superclone there. Everything felt peaceful, positive, there and yet they all knew that there would be great challenges to come along with great dangers.

Then came news that all of the floating, naked, Sarah Lyons aspects would change their names to SarahRisena, SarahLight, SarahTruth, SarahTeach, SarahSeek, SarahSafe, SarahHope, SarahLove, SarahWish, SarahHelp, SarahDeep, SarahHigh and SarahSong. As for the aspects of the Rainbowbaby, each of them would continue to be called the Rainbowbaby.

 

Sarah Lyons would return as Sarah Lyons but just what did that mean? The meaning was at best uncertain.

 

What about the GreatOnes?

 

What about the other facets, factions of the great mystery of mysteries?

 

Was it all just some kind of solidified deception?
