Fallout Alternates One 26.1 [33]

They came from the direction of Venus but not as a threat but as a refugee fleet. Confeds came in spaceships of all kinds but also towing orbitals and jury rigged constructs. Damage was to be seen all over the place from minor burn marks to great rips torn in some vessels. They came to surrender, speaking in shock and rage of how biosynths, backed by synths and robots, had taken over the Solar Confederation. Except it was all a trick!

The sphere-entities flew through the area and energies swept outwards but this time not all was changed for it came apparent that things already of a very different kind, of mysterious alien entities, could not be so influenced.

SarahAta Lyons rushed along the large corridor of the big construct that had been outwardly a ramshackle refugee carrier but inwardly a stronghold full of invading biosynth, synth and robotic fighters along with support elements of many kinds. Now those fought alongside the Federats and Terran forces but against shadowy things most dangerous.

Palefanes, pale skinned humanoids, battled with enhanced abilities of mind-body-spirit, the last meaning some strange disturbing powers. Palefanes mostly relied on their power armour and Federat type weapons for their spirit-powers were relatively weak. Then there were the once dead shazebies, the living dead as animated by shazes that could only exist by animating corpses and remaining inside them. They had odd strengths and weaknesses. The shadazes, elite shazes, were the worst for all were dangerous in the ways of dark spirit-powers though these varied in strength and other ways. They were physically weaker than the shazes and shazebies and their bizarre psychic abilities were about the same except for focused.

Shadow-entities, like small blackest of orbs radiating half shadows all around themselves, fought glowing sphere-entities. The Lyons Valiant had elemental powers able to drive back the shadow-entities but not able to destroy them; that was left up to the sphere-entities who destroyed only their 'anchors' to that dimensional realm, hurling shadow-entities back to their 'natural' realm.

SarahAta Lyons shot a shaze in the helmeted head, the distorted power armour clad creature dying at once. It collapsed dead and could not, would not, return as a shazebie thanks to its brain being destroyed. Shazes were pressured to stop the Lyons Valiant from reaching what ever was hidden at the core of the big fake refugee carrier.

The Cybergirl Triplets fired off rapid shots, taking down many shazes with amazing aim.

Behind them Conan, BlackWidow and two others were spread out along the corridor, but not too much so, fighting ambushers coming out of hidden hatches, already detected by the defenders, or out of vent shafts or even small utility hatches or side-doors. Shazebies had come shambling before that, being poor clones created to become the living-dead; thankfully their souls had moved on. Xolasers were weapons quite lethal against the shazefel of all kinds though more so against the weaker, than the stronger, types. The fighting, in confined spaces, was damned hard especially as the big structure had been prepared against invaders.

Transformed biosynths, synths and robots were attacking along two other big corridors but each had a Lyons Valiant Trooper leading them. The same could be for FEARIUs led by other Lyons Valiant people. More Lyons Valiant Troopers had appeared, two more thirteens of them, with changes happening like the Cybergirl Twins becoming the Cybergirl Triplets and shifting positions around. Now SarahEle Lyons led the FEARIUs directly as a reflection of their beloved Sarah Lyons. Then there was SarahUlt who directly led the mixed biosynth, synth and robotic forces.

Fallout Alternates One 26.2 [34]

The big shock was that the Solar Confederation, and their zetan allies, had always been fakes; that is they had always been clones, synths, biosynths and computer generated illusions. That is except for a slave population kept in a great complex on-in the planet of Mercury. Existence there was hard; for most it was at survival level; for lightly favoured slave trustees it was life level; only the tiny minority of high treacherous former slaves thrived in relative luxury.

Captain Jane Kirk was dealing with the space battle, being grateful that many of the Confed ships, and even constructs, were waging war for her and that they were upgraded. She was not so pleased at the fast agile shadowsaucers the bigger, slower, more powerful shadowspheres. They were proving to be hard to deal with and though xolaser cannons easily destroyed them, those weapons took up valuable time to recharge and were of relatively short effective range.

The Solar Federation, with the assistance of new allies, was steadily winning but the cost in death, and damage, was proving to be quite high. The main reason was the bizarre unconventional nature of the new, suddenly appearing, threat of the shazefel, the shadowcraft, and the shadow-entities behind them. Even with the support, of the mysterious sphere-entities, war strategies, smaller scale tactics and even support logistics had to be rethought from almost scratch.

A fake zetan saucerboat, flown by fake zetan biosynths, hurled itself straight into a flotilla of shadowspheres before exploding with a minor nuclear blast. The shadowspheres ceased to exist, as did the saucerboat.

Fallout Alternates One 27.1 [35]

Even as the last of the true enemy were being destroyed, or being forced to retreat in shadowspheres escorted by smaller shadowsaucers, SarahAta Lyons inspected the big prize once hidden at the core of the fake refugee carrier. Transformed by the sphere-entities, as was the whole former fake refugee construct, was a large sophisticated biosynth creation processing complex or BCPC. Next to it was a synth production programming complex or SPPC or 'S' 'double P' 'C'. There were support antechambers, and chambers, all around it along with storage chambers full of special resources for both complex. Even as the impressed superclone watched, biosynths and synths were being processed but not doppelgangers that needed a unique kind of complex.

The other two Sara Lyons superclones had vanished away after the battle was complete but SarahAta was not concerned, knowing that they would show up where they were needed most. The real Sarah Lyons, also known as the prime of the thirteen, was in the crystal capsule in an increasingly large, complicated and subtle pattern. The location of it all was most interesting for somehow it was 'inside' of Sarah Lyons though she was also 'inside' of it. SarahAta had quickly decided that trying to work out the truth was beyond her and she would be better off focusing on matters that she had some chance of understanding.

She had met briefly with Captain Jane Kirk, of the SFSS Enterprise and had been impressed. It turned out they had valuable information to exchange but far less than either would have wished to gain. The spacebattlecruiser had become a bigger, more powerful and more versatile systembattleship. Its saucership was now the spacebattlecruiser the SFSS Avenger while the two enlarged saucerboats were the spacefrigates the SFSS Dauntless and the SFSS Furious. The term 'system' was kept for spacecraft that were big enough, special designed enough, to have one or more system hyperdrives.

A big fleet of spaceships, spaceconstructs, spacestationships and a small number of systemships, were already preparing to depart even as more refugees joined them.

SarahAta spoke. "Why were the true enemy, behind the fake Confederation Alliance, attempting to take these complexes to Luna."

SaraAta001, her FEARIO submajor, spoke. "It would give them a reliable source of new, more standard, synth and biosynth soldiers, workers and other type units. Odd that no cloning complexes have been found, or ones able to produce doppelganger biosynths, and yet we have had to combat both during this last battle. Fresh reinforcements seemed to be coming from somewhere but from where?"

SarahAta suddenly had a fearful idea and she contacted, with some difficulty, the busy Captain Jane Kirk. After listening for a fairly short time, Kirk frowned hard and then sent out new orders. The fleet would not be going to Luna, directly, but first to a big, long, abandoned space complex of PreDoomsday construction. It was known, generally, as the SanasTerminus. Both the reasons for its existence, and its name, were long lost to history and yet SarahAta had 'remembered' seeing something in the LSComplex that had her speaking to Kirk over a highly secured communications channel.

One theory, about SanasTerminus, was that it had been designed created as a great special security checker of even very big, complicated, vessels. It had been meant to be used to detect exotic, even alien, means of deception and concealment.

Fallout Alternates Zero 4.1 [36]

Sarah Lyons, the original, was now the prime of thirteen of which twelve were superclones; three were secondaries and nine were foundationals. Her mind was reawakening as the great swirling complexity of spinning crystal capsules increased in size and number. As yet she was not aware enough to be fully aware of matters, to truly make decisions or to use her new, growing, powers.

The growing fleet of spaceships and constructs, as commanded by Captain Jane Kirk, headed towards the great, secretive, space structure known as SanasTerminus. Extensive research, including in the Lunar Colonies, had only discovered that the structure had been created after the return of the experimental warpdrive starship the SS Reacher, known only as Incident 81B76. The only information available suggested that the SS Reacher was totally destroyed by a nuclear explosion but the cause was not given. Shortly after Incident 81B76 the construction of Skynet, SanasTerminus and the StarWatcher Stations, on Luna, had begun.

The biosynth activities, across the Wastelands, as copies of other entities was turning out to be more extensive than first feared but not comprehensively so. Most activity was still of normal Wasteland entities. The supermutant armies attacking the CCCitadel, the LSComplex and the Enclaver taskforce, were at least 50% lightly cyborged real ones. Fake zetan attacks, abductions, ceased abruptly but whether that was because of Regulator driven actions was far from certain.

The Regulators began to work more closely with the Brotherhood of Steel as did other factions. Reilly's Rangers, a smallish mercenary corporation, was given a contract to try to track biosynth infiltrators with the assistance of some special gear and an OofS specialist squad.

Moira Brown, of Megaton, began her second edition of her Wastelands Survival Guide being subtitled 'How to Survive the Wastelands on a Budget'.

In the LSComplex the exploring, charting, continued with the discovery of thirteen doors being one golden, three silvery and nine copperish. One silvery door opened to lead to a chamber of SVR capsules, and other features, linked to the Elder Scrolls SVR Games but this time there were many more features including more capsules. There were also thirteen smaller doors, in the big chamber, being one golden, three silvery and nine copperish but they could not be opened.

The no longer secret monorail subway, that also had other kinds of tunnels, was turning out to be very useful.

More refugees poured in from outside, many of them being transformed and all being welcome including former radroaches of furroaches. It was an amazing irony that radroaches could be turned into a cuter, more adorable, version of their older selves but it had been done. They were turning out to be useful in many surprising ways. The same was true of a range of Wastelands creatures including deathclaws, ghouls, mimes, radscorpions and others now transformed.

Fallout Alternates Zero 4.2 [37]

Power armoured raiders kept coming from the ocean, to the east, and the crazers, reavers and ragers were joined by cyborg borgers that were their power armour; they had no rage but fought with out conscious. The stealthers were faster, could hide in devious ways, but weaker than the other types of raiders. Beasters came as creatures, of different kinds, working together in specialised power armour. It began to be considered, by a few factions, that the attackers were prototypes being tested out in actual battle but there was no real proof of this being the truth or not.

The crazy Mary-Gary clones ceased to attack in large numbers but were seen in smaller numbers in one area whispered to be close to a hidden VaultTekVault.

3Dog found, to his disappointment, that the desire for his spare electric toasters was not as great as he had hoped it would be. Then a strange, friendly, old woman type figure came and bought most of them. She was the mysterious Fixmaker Lady famed for her amazing ability to repair, recycle and reuse old tech and other items. She fixed up, upgraded, some of the 3Dradio stations gear including the MrHandy known as MrDJ and the protectron known DJBot. 3Dog married 2Kitty, his long term girlfriend. Two of the bridesmaids were MrDJ and DJBot.

Dogmeat, the amazingly intelligent Alsatian type dog, managed to get into LifeVault-101 despite that supposedly being impossible. He adopted, was adopted by, Jasmine Armstrong. Jasmine begins to realise she is a psyker, a special psychic psionic power gifted person.

The Republic of Dave, and the Commonwealth of Gwen, came to a peaceful resolution of old tensions; this was partly because their elite guard forces lost their new soldiers due to their failure as recruits. The ten year old boy kept running away to play with his friends and pets while the old woman, in a wheelchair, kept falling asleep and forgetting things.

Small dragons were spotted flying close to the coast of the dreaded Shadow Continent.

The ghostly SS Titanic ocean liner came into the NewYork Harbour. Even the ghouls fled from it.

While the teleport-cable, to the CCCitadel, remained blocked another opened up to an abandoned complex hidden below the crater centered settlement of Megaton. Soon small numbers of people, and items, were going to-from there.

Fallout Alternates One 28.1 [38]

SarahEle Lyons, superclone of the original Sarah Lyons, gave orders to high command FEARIUs deep in the LSComplex in the new FEARIU subcomplex. The well resourced base was quickly being utilised, organised and inhabited. Reports were coming in from other FEARIUs operating out in the Washington CC Wastelands. Communications had begun with Marshal Alice Lyons and the special council that included a select choice of individuals being Orderhood of Steel, XFIA and yet others both PreDoomsday and PostDoomsday.

The FEARIU Subcomplex held some surprises in the form of workshops, a small efficient manufactory, a cloning centre, cloning laboratories, a research data centre, mecha and other special combat machines, armouries full of special weapons, a hydroponics centre and a few others.

There were thirteen times thirteen statuscapsules with new FEARIUs. The subcomplex was linked to the newly named LSComplex Subway Network or LSCSN.

A surprise was that of internal teleport-cable stations have appeared across the LSComplex and two of these were in the subcomplex.

Terry Lyons wanted to examine the cloning facilities and was both surprised and angry when SarahEle politely, but firmly, refused. As yet the FEARIUs were not willing to expose to just anybody secrets about their true nature. As it was SarahEle was surprised to find out that big biowombs grew clusters, of subclusters, of clone-eggs from which came baseline clones to be further transformed thus creating the FEARIUs except for the androids and robots. Parts of the cyborgs were created. The display, in the alcove, now made far more sense. The androids, and robots, came from two different special manufactories.

SarahEle Lyons sat at a council meeting with varied members including Alice, Terry, Walter, Scullie and some others. SarahEle smiled calmly though Terry was clearly annoyed with her for getting in the way of her ever seeking of new scientific knowledge. Alice was frowning softly, probably thinking that the Orderhood of Steel was being denied valuable data. Walter, and Scullie, were relaxed in comparison. Steel Stage Swanson was there looking both triumphant and angry.

SarahEle spoke. "One speaks as Sarah Lyons though one is a superclone; Sarah Lyons has authorised it to be so, if it can accurately be put that way."

Swanson went to speak but then visibly thought better of it. He was officially there only as an observer unless asked a question.

Terry Lyons frowned. "You claim to have Sarah Lyon's authority but that has not been granted to you by the Orderhood of Steel. Even if the Orderhood did recognise your authority, then your duty would have you allowing access to the FEARIU cloning knowledge. The Orderhood of Steel needs all the scientific data that it can get."

Professor Walter Bishop frowned softly. "More scientific data is not automatically necessary or even safe!"

Terry turned to the man. "Walter, it is not your place to talk at this moment. Nor do you understand the needs of the Orderhood of Steel."

Scullie spoke out. "I think that you will find that our dear XFIA super genius is one who really would understand both your needs and what he speaks of. It was the blind hunger for scientific knowledge that helped bring forth Doomsday and the Wastelands."
