The Creation Kit

I like how everyone here attempts to rationalize and sympathize with the Beth team lying to the consumers....

If there was no promise of modding tools i wouldn't have even thought of buying the game.

Instead of crying, complaining and arguing with everyone in a modding forum, take the time and energy it takes to complain and argue here and use that to help mod the game with the modding options we currently have. That is a much better use of your time and energy.

No time should be wasted on complaining, nor should it be wasted on arguing.

Can mod? mod; hate the game? stop playing; can't mod but like the game; wait for the modders.

It is as simple as...that.

I don't see the point in complaining about why/how much you hate the game.

When i heard that it has been announced to be released within January, my reaction was disgust. I find that the Beth team knew it would take that long to produce the Creation Kit, they knew over 30% of the PC community would have not purchased the game our would have waited. I think what they did is both sick and disgusting towards the consumers and the series. The Bethesda corporation has lost my money for any releases EVER in the future. I will never buy one single product from their arsenal ever again.

I posted a similar thread on the beth forums, removed in less than one minute.

I was banned for this post on the Beth Forum

Who's with me?

Spot on post. Agreed %100

Should be happy that:

1. They actually give us a creation kit

They're not "giving" us anything. You have to pay 50/60 dollars before you can play the game and then use the kit.

I also don't see the point of complaining about other peoples complaints either.

Free speech for the win!

The kit is free thus it is given, sure it requires the 50/60 dollar game. (games only that much if you buy it immediatly, if people don't want to wait for good mods then don't buy it when it comes out.)

But you don't have to buy the KiT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a lot of us who wouldn't touch modern Bethsoft games in their vanilla release. They are just downright awful to play.

So for us to play the game the way we want it, yes we HAVE to buy the game FOR the kit. It's not free. If they don't want to lose probably %25 of their sales, they better give us a creation kit. I've had my say and to avoid a flame war I won't be reading/replying to any more replies. The op is SPOT ON with what he said and I gave him kudos for it.

Bethesda screwed us again...

1. Releasing a game that is just a worse version of the previous one

- questlines are FAR shorter, and less fun

- arena is missing completely

- about 90% spells are gone, as well as the ability to create your own

- skills that were fun were lost, skills that were necessary remained

- dungeon mazes were replaced by 1 straight way dungeons, with the end always getting you back near the front door, or another exit

- thieves guild was replaced by mafia (aka collecting "protection" fees instead of stealing from the rich and protecting the weak)

- almost EVERYONE is marked as essential, even those you don't know

- stealth is a MESS, and sometimes you feel that even a moon is a witness, keeping the sneak eye fully open

- spells are TERRIBLY weak, and the only thing that makes them worth casting after lvl 15 is that you can spam them like mad

- hoods look worse than in oblivion, seriously, some in Skyrim looks like Kenny's

- ...

2. They didn't add a single useful thing to game:

- 200 years after Oblivion and people are still on the same technological level, the society level has even degraded to "racist bastards afraid of magic"

- Hand to hand combat was practically removed from game (except for occasional brawls), instead of being improved by various fist weapons and combat styles

- melee staff combat still not added

- pike combat still not added

- crossbows and single-shot pistols still not added, looks like Tamriel is frozen in time, using the same weapons for several thousand years

- shield on back still not added, you still look like an idiot, having the shield in hand all the time

- dual wield sheathing still not added (the left hand weapon is obviously just petrified air) appearing and disappearing when you push R

- dodging still not added, so it's block or die, therefore dual-wield, battlemage and archer builds are just not viable and underpowered

- no new playable races (even though there is like 20 races in lore that has not been used yet)

- ....

3. Incredible amount of bugs and glitches:

- right/left hand system is going crazy mess and forces you to always stick your nose into inventory when you want it the least

- quests are constantly bugging out

- sound files missing for the crazy old guy, forcing you to cheat (now there is a mod to fix it, but when I did it the first time, I had to skip few quests in a chain

- textures missing (glowing purple trees, tents, invisible body parts, etc are very common)

- incredibly high performance needed (tearing on 2GBs of graphics memory? umad?), yet the graphics looks like 5 years old (seriously, the only thing that looks good are those misty mountains, and even they just from afar)

- ......

4. Bethesda playing waiting game with us:

- Creator Kit:

- 1st release date: 11.11.11 (oh crap, we haven't finished it yet)

- 2nd release date: at the beginning of December, along with patch (screw ya, we overslept!)

- 3rd release date: January (..... at this rate, GTA 5 will be out sooner..)

I'll f*** Bethesda and simply uninstall the game, I've beaten it already anyway... as a caster, as a 2hander barbarian, as a tank, as a dual wieling berserker.. it's terribly fast to complete, I've enjoyed Oblivion far more, as questlines were like 3 times longer, more funny, and it felt like you are doing something, unlike Skyrim...
