Sulo
Well, I like it but I don't love it. The lore and the world, the genuine Tamriel history, all great things. But sloppy graphics, console like UI and numerous bugs and glitches prevent a top rating. Well, as always with Beth games at the start.Additionally, they annoyed me by not releasing the Construction Set this year. It is okay but I have been hoping for too much, believed their PR machine and now I am a bit disappointed. sarnz
My game was literally unplayable when steam autodownloaded the 1.2 patch. I couldn't click anything in my Q menu, could not fast travel, could not tab out of most menus. But the gamebreaker was that I could not apply poisons. I tried, and it would not allow me to click Yes or No, or tab out of the menu. I literally had to end process and start the game up again. So then I found a little guide to revert back to 1.1 and all is well again!
Sabatasso
Stupid choices for a vote. I like the game, but it's not a "genuinely good game". It's a promising game, however.
Jackal2233
I rate it 8/10, and that's my honest opinion. I rarely rate games higher though, even my favs, like the ME series, or DA:O, all games have flaws. I'm very hard to please, but I'm happy with it so far. Sid Meier's Pirates or Alpha Centauri or Mount & Blade is probably the only games I'll rate 8.5 to 9. Skyrim has the potential to be 10/10, but only with mods, just like Morrowind/Oblivion, which lasted me YEARS. iansutton91
I liked it. For the most part. My only qualm with it was I think the main quest was lacking. I honestly think Bethesda spent most of their time on random side quests. I would've enjoyed the game far more if the main quest was longer. Â Having said that, I still think it's a fantastic game. ravensoul
No matter what game, and no matter what forum of a game you go to, you will always find complains. The reason for that is that haters sit on forums and complain about the game, while those who love the game spends time actually playing the game. A teacher i once had long ago said that a satisfied customer will tell about his experience to 3 friends. A dissatisfied customer will tell about his experience to atleast 9 people. I love the game. You cant really compair it to any other game in my opinion, that would just be unfair for the other games :P
Dowly
I like the game, but there's one big thing that has pretty much made me stop playing: Player is too disconnected from the world. Mainly, the problem is that you are the Dragonborn from the start, yet no one reacts to that. You still have to prove yourself over and over and over again to the NPCs. Wouldn't it be enough to tell them that you are the mythical Dragonborn who will most likely save your sorry arse at some point? :whistling:  Also, Dragons are back, yet no one seems to give a damn. There's only few lines of dialogue where the average NPCs mention anything about the dragons. Surely, the fear of a dragon attack should be the subject of discussion everywhere. How about the civil war? One would think that when there's such danger as frigging dragons who don't take sides, they'd put their differences aside for a few days, but no. Civil war this, civil war that. Gah. All in all, the game is great, but the story and world from player's point of view is crap. Edited December 2, 2011 by Dowly
saintjimmyz
Skyrim is a great game, no questions about that. Skyrim is in another league to anything released in the last few years. The problem is that, like Oblivion, Skyrim falls so far short of the standard set by Morrowind and Daggerfall its embarrassing. If Skyrim was a standalone game then there would be very few complaints, and people would be raving about it. As it is, it is a great game but one that does not live up to its predecessor, and as such is slightly disappointing. Morrowind has set the bar for TES games ridiculously high, and while Skyrim is head and shoulders above everything else released recently, it also falls far behind Morrowind, which saddens Morrowind and Daggerfall players, and annoys them. Its a bit like if Ferrari produced a hatchback; it would be an amazing hatchback, far ahead of everything else in its class, but crap compared to the stuff Ferarri used to produce, so the Ferarri owners club would spend hours complaining about it. marharth
Don't assume people hate the game because they are critical of it.
