Nuka World DlC.

Tried everything I could think of, except throw the kitchen sink at it; I rent the place, wouldn't want to get into extra costs :D

I even reverted back to the 1.7.9 version thanks to a back-up I keep (got several of those) and no dice -even with just the DLC (minus Nuka World) and some stuff like ENBoost, ShadowBoost, SweetFX, Vogue ENB and the right version of F4SE running through Bilago's Configuration Tool- I can play up to the point where I go down into Vault 111 and when the picture fades to black and the music dies out to load the inside of the vault, I CTD, always and again at this exact same moment.

Only playable stuff is that crooked savegame with the happiness stuck at 50% (although those saves were done with v1.7.12 they load without a glitch under v1.7.9).

Only other thing that happened was that now -with going back to v1.7.9- I somehow lost my vanilla Furniture menu in WorkShop mode. Tried the fixes from the Snap'n'Build mod, but they don't work...

Thanks for your consideration FitzConnor & Kitty (who managed to post while I was still typing away)

What you could try and do, which I tend to always do, Is use a vault quickstart. It will start at the point just before leaving, so the save will most likely load the interior. If that doesn't work, then we know the bug is a direct problem to vault 111.

First off, for those concerned, I was able to get my furniture menu back thanks to a fix presented by Dinozaurz in her Do It Yourshelf (no typo) mod...

Secondly, I installed the game anew and restarted with only all DLC, the UFO4P, a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. tweak mod, my ENB and Boost and other non-mod tweaks, with Bilago's Configuration Tool set to use F4SE as the .exe and I got into a start-up loop even before reaching the game's main menu.

Tried twice with the same result and then set Bilago's Config Tool to use the regular Fallout4.exe and I was back in. Managed to get past the point where I had all these CTD and am currently in front of the cryo pod containing my dead husband (always play female characters when I can)...

I spent the whole night trying to find a clue as to what mod somehow maybe used assets from Vault 111 which caused that CTD. Bethesda has a way of attaching hidden connections to objects that cause havoc when those assets are used in another mod when the game 'doesn't know' what area to load when an item is used in two places at the same time and as a consequence the game rolls over and plays dead... But, with 247 plug-ins and no other knowledge with FO4Edit than cleaning duplicate master records, it was a lost cause beforehand.

Am gonna quit just before exiting Vault 111 and install a few mods that enhance appearance, like The Eyes Of Beauty and some such, so I can get pretty when facing life in post-war commonwealth :P

Will do tests once in Sanctuary with adding mods bit by bit and checking what happens to happiness as settlers arrive...

Its still some progress! You have managed to overcome the first obstacle, and the rest is just juggling. I can understand your problem with the 247 plugins problem, guilty here of having 244. I'm happy for you that you got your game back to a "working" condition. I cant think what would be causing that happiness bug/glitch.

Thanks once more for your sympathy, FitzConnor. I meanwhile must apologise for having hi-jacked your topic. Is some kind of selfishness borne from frustration, I guess.

Concerning your problem with the game crashing at the intercom: a problem with the way mods are being integrated into FO4 is that, once an error has been written into a savegame, no matter what you do (in ways of deleting mods that could lie at the basis) you'll keep crashing. In other words, the only way to get rid of certain faults is often to start a new game or guess from when the error occurred and finding a save from roundabout that time and start from there...

Then there are of course the bugs that still need weeding out.

For Skyrim there exists a save-cleaner to do away with errors, but I haven't got the slightest idea if such a tool has been written for FO4...

*EDIT*

There does exist a more or less equivalent of that Skyrim save cleaner, but it's not really for cleaning in its current form :(

I must have forgot to mention that I fixed my issue. I have no issues now, so I am just willing to help other people now. I want people to keep posting their problems so that I, and others, may fix them (or at least aid in the recovery...).

A-ha... that's good, eh? :)

Only issue I have left is sweating bullets over re-installing all my mods :D
