gofortheko
This game in particular would translate well to a movie, if the plot isnt made PG-13. I think the director of Game of Thrones would be perfect for making a Skyrim movie.

OnlyOneWing
Probably for the fact that there isn't even a main character. It would just be a generic character in Nirn doing something epic. There really wouldn't be a huge market for it, it probably wouldn't be very well done. There are almost no memorable characters in the game. I love the game, but you do have to realize that Elder Scrolls games are great for the fact that they are open...not for the fact that they have memorable characters. flobalob
The same could be said of book conversions, Lets face it there have been some pretty dodgy conversions made in the past (of books and games) and very few good ones. The film makers seem mostly to convert popular games that have little in the way of plotline (Doom, anyone) rather than games that have a well written story.I always thought that a half decent film could have been made of Freelancer. vertex23
Because it takes more than a month to make a movie?
Matth85
We have no main character. There is too much to fit into a movie.Movies from games, and vice versa, rarely turns out any good. Because it takes more than a month to make a movie? You mean like the 5-6 years it took for Skyrim? ... wait, what? Time is not the issue at all. OnlyOneWing
Assassin's creed series could have been movies. Mass Effect could have been movies. But Elder Scrolls has way too much to cover on top of having little character development. I love Skyrim and TES, but there are about a hundred games that would be way better as a movie. Besides, there is no way that you could fit even 100 hours of gameplay into a movie, let alone the whole of Skyrim... And pay for 3D animation dragons that don't look like crap. flobalob
And pay for 3D animation dragons that don't look like crap. Have you ever watched a series called Primeval? The creatures in that are better than the ones in Juassic Park but were produced on an AMD Opteron based desktop system (going by the behind the scenes stuff)
RejectedCamel
Mass Effect could have been movies Actually there is a Mass Effect movie in the making, it's not about Shepard but instead one of the main characters of the books... Can't wait for it! http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/psyduck.gif
natelovesyou
Because Bethesda was never good at storytelling. Compared to hundreds of other titles, their stories are quite meh...
