Wait what are we agreeing to disagree on? Haha jw. And I wish I had a single 1080 lol, I can only imagine how smooth your gameplay must be with 2, I'm rocking with a Gigabyte R9 380x right now though. Get's the job done but when I start streaming and doing doing mod coverage I'm going to want a 1080, which is well more than enough for that.

I'm just interested to see how AMD is going to try and beat the 1080. The Fury's/Nano's are/were nice, but in terms of competition, only for 4k gaming. They got beat by the 980 or 980Ti, I think, for lower resolutions. I like the number of lanes AMD uses, but I feel like they went about it the wrong way :/

What CPU do you use?

The original i7 930, remember it 7 yrs old

Back in day when they where in short supply cuz of friggen smart phones so they where over priced too.

Lucky for me I had more money than sense then.

ATM real life responsibility (Wife Mortgage Kids) keeps getting in my way, of upgrading.

My gaming needs plays a poor second fiddle.

"Wife Mortgage Kids" the greatest boss battle of all time. Yeah, thankfully I learned at young age (due to school) how tech/business operates :D

And hey, some old CPU's still do wonders....it makes you think, how much stronger current processors are....I've seen someone run Battlefield 4 with a very old Core 2 Duo lolol. I actually have the same processor that guy has, the Core 2 Duo, from a gaming rig I built....12, years ago? Roughly 12 years. I have half a mind to test that myself :P

Im using an AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series. I can't really remember the right number. This thing is super old. I dont have the money to buy a new one. That's why i use this super old computer. Btw this is old but all the games that are coming out on low are playable got the new tomb raider and on all low it runs on 25fps in explosions and stuff its super low but it's playable.

Overclock :D

Nah don't do that unless you know exactly what you're doing. OC your CPU and GPU. My old HD 5770 can run some newer stuff on low/medium pretty well. It's factory OC'ed, it's a Gigabyte version, and maybe I lucked out with a solid well-built card, but yours is newer than my oldone and should perform a little better. Oh, and OC the RAM too. IF you know what you're doing.

OC'ing can destroy your hardware if you do it wrong

You could probably pick up something like an HD 7870 for pretty cheap on Ebay if you were curious about getting an upgrade. I can only assume you're using something like a HD 6870, which the 7870 should serve as a pretty good upgrade for. That or the HD 7850, which is an okay upgrade for something like an HD 6870. Plus it has more VRAM, which is great.

I don't really see any reason why it wouldn't. I would be more concerned with the size of your case and your PSU before I'd be concerned about whether or not the MOBO would be okay or not. I mean if it can hold your old GPU, there really isn't any reason why it wouldn't hold a different one.
