Shaodeus
I would like to mix the trousers from the pre-war Spring outfit together with the shirt from the Pre-war Parkstroller outfit. With a retextured coat from the Vault Lab outfit over them. How do I best go about mixing these assets?
madmongo
Do you know how to use a 3-d modeling tool like Blender or 3dsMax? If I remember correctly, the spring outfit and the park stroller outfit are just retextures of the same mesh, so that's easy. Just open the two textures in the texture editor of your choice (GIMP, Paint.Net, etc) and create a custom texture by copying the bits you want from each. The lab coat is the one that's going to be more difficult. If I recall correctly the lab coat and the underlying clothes are all one mesh object, so you can't just go into NifSkope and copy the coat out of it. You'll need to use a 3-d modeling program to edit the mesh to get rid of the clothing bits. I personally use Blender (because it's free) and doing something like this in Blender is easy, if a bit time-consuming. But if you don't know Blender then there's a lot to learn just to do something simple like this.
Shaodeus
I have merged the two bodies, but I don't know how to fix the sleeves properly so that it looks more natural. Any way to wrap the mesh of the coat better around the body?
madmongo
How did you merge all of that together? Somehow you managed to get the sleeves misaligned with the torso part of the coat. You've also got clipping issues with the arms underneath. What is often done with outfits like this is the underlying parts like the elbows and other parts that aren't visible are removed so that there's no danger of them clipping. rickerhk
Outfit Studio works with FO3/FNV armors as well as Skyrim. Make conversions, mashups and adjust meshes, etc without the learning curve of a full blown modeling program. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015/? I did not know that would work at all for New Vegas. Thanks.
