Thanks for the info! ME3 requires Origins for installation and one time activation only. You don't need it when playing single player (which is what I assume that's what you want). You could cry foul about it and say Steam is better yadda, yadda (not you personally but I know a lot of people who will) but the fact is that EA is following the footsteps of MS, who followed the footsteps of Valve. Anyway the demo is coming out on the 17th (KoA), so that's a yay.

hector530
I don't even have Skyrim because of steam, and it's not near as invasive... supposedly. so you've never tried steam? its free you should at least use it before you passing judgment on it. RomanKalik
This game looks more and more like Neverwinter Nights, especially . Appeal is definitely rising for me.

Thor.
I think it's fairly clear and up front now. What you quoted isn't the Origin EULA, man. It's the EA Privacy Policy from their website, which they might have included in its entirety in the EULA at some point as a point of reference: http://www.ea.com/1/privacy-policy Except it isn't tailored for Origin. It covers everything that every single EA service did, does, and might do. Including web servers (IP, number of clicks, cookies and the like), mobile applications, a few dozen games, and game multiplayer services. Basically, you're mixing apples and oranges here. Anything from achievement tracking to a bug report to a crash log is collected data for something, man. So, again, EA are rather up-front and clear about this stuff... at least now. Lol this sounds like a EA excec trying to back up EA's good name, right if they where honest they wouldn't need the EULA in the first place. its Just plain dirty in my Eyes. And not to mention eligal, Sony tried it and failed. Also not really interested in this game at all, the specs and everything seems like another crappy console port in my eyes, noting the directx 9 requirement.Skyrim is all i need right now. moxica
I don't even have Skyrim because of steam, and it's not near as invasive... supposedly. so you've never tried steam? its free you should at least use it before you passing judgment on it. I have used it. All the games I ran with it, ran very slow. One of them had missing textures and meshes. When running the same games without Steam, they ran flawlessly. my connection is fine. Achievments, chatting, and all the other stuff is completely useless and pointless to me. I don't hate steam, I don't like steam. Its just out there. I have no reason to have it.I have since purchased Skyrim, didn't update it and run it through the exe. Works great and is a very fine game. Once again, running it through steam resulted in poor performance. Once again, there is no reason for me to have steam. No hostility toward steam.
