oSIXo
I dunno but it seems to me that enemy mages do not seem to have a limit on magicka. i stood in front of a mage and watched as he countlessly shot ice and lightning spells at me without any regard to magicka or any form of restoration. i just feel that it is not fair that enemies seem to have no limits of their magicka or stamina. Is it just me or does any1 else feel that its unfair especially at higher difficulties. Btw im not bashing skyrim i love this game............... just a thought
stars2heaven
Well they aren't very smart so they have to have something to level the playing field with you....right?
InuyashaFE
Yeah it's annoying that the player runs out of mana far sooner than the enemy.
oSIXo
true however in an open field with almost 100 perfect accuracy and the benefit of zero human error i believe its already fair.its most concerning on higher difficulties. not to mention the infinite stamina for warriors as wellsince we are all under the same game physics I really think it should be addressed Edited December 5, 2011 by oSIXo
justwannaddl
Agreed. It is pretty frustrating to see an unrelenting wave of fireballs that can one shot you raining down from one enemy mage while you throw out two or three before being depleted.. Btw im not bashing skyrim i love this game............... just a thought He could be wearing 4 x 25% save on destruction magika items, just like you can. I find a power charge and a mace to the head gives the correct result following from the satisfying crunch as his skull caves in. Staff of Magnus tends to drain their magika pretty fast too, then their health.
darkjedi73200
If you are a mage and tired of other NPC mages giving you a hard time I suggest using all your options. ALTERATION SCHOOL : Paralyze ( Ultimate CC move ) DESTRUCTION SCHOOL : Lightning Bolt - A bolt of lightning that does 25 points of shock damage to Health and half that to Magicka. Destruction Dual Casting - Destruction 20, Novice Destruction Dual casting a Destruction spell overcharges the effects into an even more powerful version Impact - Destruction 40, Destruction Dual CastingMost destruction spells will stagger an opponent when dual cast The perk here is that Lightning school spells drain the targets mana pool while doing dps. You now can Paralyze any targets running up on you. Then deal with the ranged caster classes.I suggest you use the corners to your advatange. Get them to chase you down a hall and Paralyze the target. Edited December 5, 2011 by darkjedi73200

stars2heaven
In addition to darkjedi's post, if the caster happens to be undead (vampires/draugr or whatever) you can stun them over and over with the lowest level turn undead spell if you don't happen to be using destruction as a means to deal damage. If they are living casters you will have to use some other strat to take them down. But I don't feel it is very unfair, personally. The AI is so terrible, if we were equal in every other way then the poor mages would simply have no chance at all. Theyd probably waste all their mana on their wards and then couldn't do anything else. Edited December 5, 2011 by stars2heaven
justwannaddl
I look forward to a time when players will no longer have to say "The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard."
