Third person Archery Training

As an archer, I spent most of my time in first person because it's a lot easier to shoot, however, I enjoy spending my game time in third person (Because really, who doesn't?). With that, I thought "It's pretty annoying switching between each perspective just to fire an arrow...Why don't I use third person to fire all the time?" After spending about a day and a half in game shooting in Solitude, I figured out how to properly aim - and you will too!

Shot 1: 4 paces back - in line with the other guards during the day.

Aiming: Line up the right and bottom arrow points of the cross-hair with an imaginary triangle. The third point of this imaginary triangle is where the arrow will hit.

(Using the target, aiming at the line between the red and white markers to the upper left)

Shot 2: 10 paces back - in line with the third target dummy the guard hits all day.

Aiming: Very easy shot. From around 9-14 paces, the arrow goes right in the middle of the cross-hair.

Shot 3: 20 paces back - back against the wall and against that random table. (Probably the farthest I try to shoot from while out in the field as well)

Aiming: You want line the top of the cross-hair slightly to the right as the arrow hits just left of this spot.

The results:

Head shot. Every time.

Stealth:

No pictures, but it works the same. The pupil of the eye is still the center of the cross hair - I have the eye pattern taken off via a mod and just have the pupil which makes it easier for imagining the four arrows around the pupil to align my shots.

I know this will most likely fall on deaf ears as head shots and body shots don't make a difference at all. This is mainly for those people who really like seeing their well aimed arrows go through the heads of their victims.

Plus, there most likely will be a mod that adds limb damage, so when that time comes, here you go :D

I do enjoy seeing a big arrow sticking right through their face as well. I do first person though, without the crosshairs.

I like to see an arrow in the knee.....

We don't need any more Guards, dammit.
