Sheralynn
Skyrim with all it's bugs and glitches, my hatred for steam, the various disappointing aspects of the game itself, the delayed release of the creation kit and so on, my biggest gripe is the horrible and horrendous bag of clutter that's supposed to be your inventory. Never mind the terribly designed UI itself, but this confusing and illogical list is getting on my nerve. Because thats all it is. A few alphabetical lists of all your stuff. See, for me it would be logical to rearrange the weapons for instance like so:- Arrows- Daggers- Swords- Great swords- etc. So you could instantly see the different kinds of arrows you have, or swords. No, no. Can't have that. We'll put them in alphabetical order so everything is heaped together in one big happy pile. Same with apparel. A logical arrangement would be: - Rings- Amulets- Shields- Head wear- etc. But then again, that would deprive the player of the pleasure of having to sift and scroll through the list over and over and over and over... Lastly we have Misc. Now that smithing has become a separate activity and skill even, one would think to have a separate cache for the materials. Like Ingredients for Alchemy. Nope. Gonna throw that in misc. Together with soul gems, useless junk, useful equipment such as lock picks, torches and to top it of we'll throw in some unique quest items as well. All in the trademark Alphabetical Inventory® form for your enjoyment. All unfunnyness aside, I truly am baffled how terrible it is. How could they have gone from proven formats to something that is so extreme user unfriendly. So utterly amateurish. And you can't just blame the designer who clearly hasn't got any feeling for this sort of thing. It should never have been allowed to be released like this. Anyway, it's starting to take the fun out of the game for me so I just hope their will be alternatives very soon. CloudVvulf
I'm getting the feeling you don't like the alphabet. Though I would love to be able to sort my inventory by different settings. Price/weight ratio would be useful.
Nekrafilia
Also soul gems don't stack if you fill them from a Soul Trap on an item, so the misc list gets mighty long. Agreed however, the inventory management and menu layout is epic fail.
Sheralynn
I'm getting the feeling you don't like the alphabet. Oh no. I love it. It's like having a "Random" setting on your inventory. @Nekrafilia I have yet to find any logic in the soul gems. And taking one out can spontaneously rearrange the others. From being stacked to seperate and vice versa. Also my stones of Barenziah don't stack. I've got about 18 now... *scroll scroll scroll*
JimboUK
Chests are even worse, there are no categories at all, if you've hoarded a lot of stuff in the chest by the bed then the contents are just presented as one long list.
justwannaddl
It is even worse when you are a pack rat storing crap. Then it becomes a single giant list of crap.

I try to keep it separate by having different chests, cupboards, barrels etc. for things but even then it becomes chaotic and hard to keep track of everything. Not to mention having the bonus of feeling silly everytime your running up and downstairs, from chest to chest in your house when your unloading your loot. Talking about chests, my one and only chest (so far till I console in a bunch more) is sooooo full of junk, I made the fatal mistake of accidently pressing R instead of E when pulling an item out. Lucky I had just quicksaved and restored the game just prior to my fat fingered faux pas

This is why I always use one chest, I'd never remember where everything is otherwise. You almost feel the weight of all the items being dumped on your shoulders. Every tried storing a ton of ingredients only to find out that instead of R for storing you were actually pressing E for eating? Ate a couple of precious daedra hearts away like that.
