noree1146
I am new to modding and I am running this game on a good general use computer, but is not really meant for gaming. I was wondering, because I have seen so many, if changing the textures in the game to higher resolutions would make the FPS lower. Thanks
Ghogiel
definitely a possibility.
cojaca2
Depends on your computer, and on the texture in question. In most cases, no, but running a lot of very large textures on a weak system will certainly cause frame drops.
noree1146
I have 4GB RAM, Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.13GHz, with Intel Integrated Graphics for anyone who thinks that will help.
Ghogiel
hmm, not sure why you would want to get graphical improvements when I doubt that PC can even run high very well. there would be a lot of imporovment to be had just in the vanila settings.. If you have textures set to max, then maybe try some and see how it goes. Edited December 5, 2011 by Ghogiel

The integrated graphics are the biggest problem there. Textures are handled, fairly obviously, by the video card, and without an independent card in your computer, doing anything of the sort puts a lot of strain on your machine.
