Buildable churches

I've always wanted to build a player home or a settlement inside a church but all of them were full of unscrappable junk (and actually terrain through the floor), full of enemies, or too close to enemy spawns. Having various churches that can be placed anywhere, whether whole or in chunks would be awesome.

Thanks for reading!

It is hard to build inside several types of buildings, but I know what you mean. I use the 'Conquest' Mod quite a bit, usually with some good results, but it never ceases to amaze me that I can't build much of anything inside a church. Best church locations I have tried are in Salem and in Jamaica Plain.

Being a player settlement mod author that uses the church /chapel theme a lot i can tell you this...

The church buildings you that you see as a player in most cases you enter via loading screen are not real.

They are hollow buildings on the inside when you look at them from the outside and vise versa .

In the creation kit the parts to build churches are limited and most of the pieces needed are only 2 dimensional hence one has to go and make his own pieces and this my friend would be a pretty big job .

So with all the above in mind i hope you understand that this isnt an easy mod and only an author dedicated to the church theme that has texture/mesh knowledge to do the job would make you that mod you seek.

Yes!

this would be a lot of fun,

particularly for an Enclave mod...

I have wanted to see something like this, ever since the multidenominational at

Diamond City - the preacher was awesome, and intervene to cover me with lazer rifle...

so, I built an extra basement system under Diamond City which connects the

church to the player homehouse, to the maintenance tunnel, to the dig and good neighbor...

that, and the Railroad HQ under Old North Church looked cool.

it reminded me of a level from FO1 with the Master-

I was immediately on edge in those catacomb.

naturally, I built sub-basement which comes out at the nearby Red Rocket refueling station...

as others have said,

the structures for the churches are hollow - noclip and take a look for yourself.

yet, the mod author who made "ploppable houses"

said they would make a 'ploppable church - prewar pristine and postwar wrecked"

a ploppable church like the one in diamond city would also be awesome.

maybe, a nice church on Spectacle Island would be fun!

with snap-n-build windows and all...

sending pastors/preacher etc out on supply-line,

which brings extra happiness to a settlement would be GREAT too.

-----

in the meantime,

the church near Jamaica Plain, and near Quincy are great places to build a settlement,

clear of debris

as is the small abandoned church near

the Federal Ration Stockpile. it has some debris...

great for a 'jabba the hut' character

(nameable via the 'rename settlers' mod)

the abandoned church near the glowing sea is also a cool place to build a dungeon...

as petard shows.

you can also use the

"any door anywhere" mod -

it builds various doors from previous FO game style,

or FO4 style,

and connects door A in commonwealth cell

to door B in the developer test world level...

you can make very cool things with this + basement living...

and the 'build settlement anywhere' mod.

You can build in the basement of the church cellar near The Castle even.

"catacombs". which can then join to a sewer system, and out to a tunnel etc.

a large elevator or anything you want really.

I like to think the large black tower near

Red Rocket - South Boston, is either an Enclave building,

or a type of church...

-----

good luck,

I hope I have given you some options and helped somewhat,

so as you can mod some awesome stuff.

hopefully, a modder such as the author of 'ploppable houses' comes through for us again,

and makes some ploppable churches and all.
