oldmcgroin
Hi there, I have a laptop that uses this Nvidia Optimus thing which if you are not aware, causes mods such as the ENB fixes and FXAA injector to not work, as when installed they make Skyrim default to the Intel HD graphics card and not the Nvidia high performance card. As yet no one has come up with a solution to this. I keep seeing pics about how much these mods improve the visuals of Skyrim etc and feel that I'm missing out on this eye candy a little bit. I'm new to the modding scene with the Elder Scrolls so I don;t know the capability or potential of the CK but do you know from your experience with Oblivion for example, if mods can be made that do the same or more than the ENB or FXAA mods (that i hope will work with this stupid Optimus thing) ie mods that make dungeons darker, improve lighting and visuals etc etc... Thanks

GisleAune
Do you have dynamic switchable graphics enabled? I had the AMD counterpart and I could turn that off in the BIOS and the settings would give my an option to toggle between them manually. Edit, does this work? nosisab
indeed, mainly because the possibility to change specifics assets instead of a general shading program. I mean it can change the whole looking and feel of a dungeon. There will be always a place for such general graphics enhancement programs but the need of external dll (or changing a default dll) may become unnecessary. One thing that could make indispensable such dlls would be if new DirectX version itself brings substantial changes the actual can't achieve. Like the case of Morrowind and it's original DX8... the enhancement there is to bring it to DX9 new capacities.
