Simplistics
Don't get me wrong I like the game but the frame rate drops are giving me a headache to the point where I can not play it anymore .... I hope they make Prey:2 run steady at 60 frames ! I can almost max out BF3 at 70 frames but with SKYRIM I can not even put the settings to high :wallbash: without frames dropping below 20 . Crossfire Radeon 6xxx series and CPU OC 4.

Crossfire Radeon 6xxx series and CPU OC 4.2 Sounds like you need a format and fresh install of drivers. The game runs at 75fps for me just about all the time. Markath city is the only one that it dips while loading all the ambient but then it is steady.
Euclid
That's odd. My rig specs are: Gigabyte P67A-UD5-B3AMD Radeon HD 6900 2GBIntel Core i5 2400 @ 3100MHz16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 @ 2000MHzand the game runs at max settings just fine. Did you check for background processess, updater, AV routines, maybe also some driver issues? How much RAM you got and did you check it? Could be a voltage or more likely a heating problem? Cheers Euclid
randName
I cleaned out my ATI drivers recently (using AMD Catalyst TWL Cleaner 3.9.2.cmd) and I went from a barely playable game to smooth FPSs with Ultra ~ Also solved other game related issues in general. sarnz
Hmm I also get FPS drops on a GTX470 and an i7 2600k... they are mostly in the caves and such. And I have the game installed on an SSD. Any tips on tweaking? I run everything on max settings as well.
Gremxula
Have you adjusted the settings? The defaults are way to optimistic.RES 1680x1050 Recommended.........AA and AF x4 Detail high = 20fps or lower for me.I have ati 4600 and 2.9 amd cpu and get an acceptable 30-60(monitor limit) 99% of the time using AA and AF OFF and low Detail. vertex23
Maybe you have the view distances turned up too high. A major FPS dropper is having items on max distance. You really don't need that arrow rendered for the entire distance.
