tobbe84
I’ve seriously grown tired of stashing everything I pick up in my briefs. I mean, how the hell is my character able to carry 250 iron ingots without a bag? Sure it’s a fantasy world with dragons and magic and all sorts of weird things, but it’s at least realistic fantasy (if you know what I mean). Wouldn’t Skyrim be a bit more immersive if you could really see that you’re carrying something? I would love to see a bag on my character displaying that I actually have something in my inventory. It would also be awesome if that bag changed depending on how much I am carrying, for example: 0-25: no bag.26-100: a small coin purse just below the belt (kind of like that on the bards outfit).101-200: a second bag added, maybe a little bigger with some miscellaneous stuff on it.201-300: “chest bags” added, kinda like those on the thieves guild armor.301-450: a backpack added.451+: a traveling mantle and something else, like a folded cloth thingy or whatever added.(XXX-XXX: indicate the total weight of all the stuff in the inventory) This mod wouldn’t be too hard to make in Construction Set I guess, and I don’t think Creation Kit will differ much from its predecessor. The difficulties will probably be to make the bags fit with any armor. I’d make this mod myself if my modding knowledge wasn’t so limited (and creation kit was available), so I hope that some happy modder shares my bag-beliefs. OfficerKK
Yeah i think it´s a great idea. it would add i bit more realisme ti the game, even though i think it´s very realistic already. hope to see a modder on this project!

iondragonx
Basically, you are asking for 5 levels of added meshes and textures. They would have to float off of the skeleton like the quiver does. That does sound doable but it would definitely conflict with custom armors and probably with certain vanilla sets as well. The armors have different thickness to their meshes and different protrusions. If it only looked correct 85% of the time, would that be immersive or immersion breaking? RaktoastTheSandwichTopper
so far ive imagined my character having a bag that is connected to another dimension so he doesnt have to carry all that crap (but i prefer this much more)
thaolen
so far ive imagined my character having a bag that is connected to another dimension so he doesnt have to carry all that crap (but i prefer this much more)There is a mod out now that lets you do just that, but it's a chest, cloud storing type. It's here on Nexus, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25422//? There is another one but this is supported by G.E.M.S.I've been working at learning CK, been playing since Marrowind, I'm dying to start modding finally. So my first mod will be gold bags that you can carry with you, drop them, they make coin sound (clink) like a bag would. I am using the mod Requiem, which I love because it does things like make gold weight something feasible so gold bags would certainly make it even more amazing. The more immersion Skyrim has the happier I am, and I will release this if I figure it all out, a simple mod that does a simple thing. We find gold bags all over Skyrim but it just turns to coins, hey I like to lay out my loot in my home, or whatever ;)Btw, I have looked for a mod like this and no one has made one, but that's what modding is all about, your idea someone's dream come true. Eisbar
Wouldn't that make carrying mammoth tusks something of a problem?
