nofear88
Well since I have updated to 1.2, i felt a rapid decline in playability of Skyrim now as it just cuts out in the most inconveniet times. I just like to say That im putting the game down for a month or so until it is more PC friendly. It may be PC software but it was working ok until this update... back to FNV for the time being. Anybody else feel like this? I would update my PC but no money till late January.
Sunnie
You could just revert back to 1.1... I've logged 280 hours in a single play through and encountered maybe 3 major bugs, 6 or 8 minor issues. You of course can consider the game unplayable but I can absolutely say that Skyrim is about 10000000000000% more stable and less bugs than any previous Bethsoft RPG. Also, 1.3 was released today, which I am testing now and I don't have any of the issues I had with 1.2, so far.
Snowsong
If you think Skyrim is buggy, you should never, ever, ever play the original Gothic. That was the single buggiest game I've ever played. The funny thing is, I haven't been having much trouble with Skyrim at all. I have one quest that I can't do because it's buggy, but other than that, Skyrim has been awesome and pretty bug-free for me.
punxdog
Try the 4GB+ patch, made a world of difference for me
nofear88
I am trying out the 4GB but I see no difference really tho it could be PC related, I do have the 32bit.
Sunnie
Skyrim4Gb is intended and only works on 64bit Windows PCs with 4GB or more memory.
SkjoldBjorn
Hmm no.I have only seen one major bug so far, but i was able to go back a few saves to correct it, though that beeing in my second playthrough, my first playthrough was a big glitchy bug in itself, hence why i started from scratch :)I have not yet needed that skyrim 4gb patch, my game crashes every now and then without any error messages, i don't dare to install that thing, everytime skyrim crashes i end up taking a break and that is something i need every now and then. Valamyr
There are tons of little annoyances and minor issues but they dont add up to unplayable per se. But yes, definitely, someone who plays this game for the first time in a year with all patches, DLC and some good mods including an unofficial patch will have a wholly different experience. Its the same thing everytime. If I had any willpower, I'd only play games after they've been out a year or two without exceptions :P Not only would they be dirt cheap, they'd be ten times better. Alas I dont, so please take my money, I want to beta test! :P
nosisab
Before condemning the official patches is advisable to try without mods and no tweaked ini files. That's the only way to be sure is the patch the faulty one. What I mean is some mods that change the game mechanics could and probably would break things when a patch comes. That scenery should change once the CK is out and the game is mostly stabilized and even so is subject to a major patch problem when the first "real" patch for this game is released (these already released are more a workaround to game breaking issues). afx777
I've played 100+ hours so far and have only come across a small handful of quest bugs, I haven't come across any major ones that affect the game play.
